Project benefits• The historical and scientific data will enhance the

students' performance in Maths and will strengthen the idea that culture is not divided into separate branches

• Maths is a global language and offers our students the chance to: – take their studies further– to deepen their knowledge about Newton and his historical

environment– to share their knowledge with other students– to improve their English, to communicate and co-operate with

other European pupils and practice their ICT knowledge

• English is the wide world communication language and students will enhance their written and oral skills discussing with other countries’ mates and preparing material for the project

Project goals• Learning about the Age of Newton in all its cultural

aspects• Learning how to use some ICT tools• Communicating with other students using English • Developing teamwork skills both within their own groups

and across cultures• Creating multimedia presentations• Make students aware that Maths is made not only of

numbers and formulae, but is shaped by history, it is the result of the hard work of people whom in their work faced both failures and successes.

• Encourage teachers to confront and share different teaching methods.
