That Awful Day Will Surely Come (Hester’s favorite gospel song)

That awful day will surely come,

Th’ appointed hour makes haste,

When I must stand before my Judge,

And pass the solemn test.

Give me one kind assuring word

To sink my fears again,

And cheerfully my soul shall wait

Her threescore years and ten.

“I gave you your flowers while you lived.” JoAnn B. Faust

The family of the late Hester “Hes” Whitaker would like to thank Mary

Harrison (the Bojangle’s Chicken Lady), Justina Udogwu, Halls 200 and 100 at

PruittHealth, the Osborne-Faust and Benjamin families for your love and

support throughout the years, and

Bishop Sylvester Reid and Refuge Temple Church.

God will bless you all.,.I promise.

For I am ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth

there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge,

shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his

appearing.

II Timothy 4: 6-8 (KJV)
