There is no logically necessary connection between events at different times; therefore nothing that is happening now or will happen in the future can disprove the hypothesis that the world began five minutes ago.... I am not here suggesting that the non-existence of the past should be entertained as a serious hypothesis. Like all skeptical hypotheses, it is logically tenable but uninteresting. (The Analysis of Mind,1921, p. 159-160). How many such points of logically tenable but uninteresting vulnerability can common sense and its associated nave realism be demonstrated to possess? Likely there are many, which points up the need for a kind of providence behind all of this seemingly revealed wisdom of common sense. And the question becomes: must this providence be of a wholly naturalistic origin?

Often relegated to the methods section of genetic research articles, the term degeneracy is regularly misunderstood and its theoretical significance widely understated. Degeneracy describes the ability of different structures to be conditionally interchangeable in their contribution to system functions. Frequently mislabeled redundancy, degeneracy refers to structural variation whereas redundancy refers to structural duplication. Sources of degeneracy include, but are not limited to, (1) duplicate structures that differentiate yet remain isofunctional, (2) unrelated isofunctional structures that are dispersed endogenously or exogenously, (3) variable arrangements of interacting structures that achieve the same output through multiple pathways, and (4) parcellation of a structure into subunits that can still variably perform the same initial function. The ability to perform the same function by drawing upon an array of dissimilar structures contributes advantageously to the integrity of a system. Drawing attention to the heterogeneous construction of living systems by highlighting the concept of degeneracy valuably enhances the ways scientists think about self-organization, robustness, and complexity. Labels in science, however, can sometimes be misleading. In scientific nomenclature, the word degeneracy has calamitous proximity to the word degeneration used by pathologists and the shunned theory of degeneration once promoted by eugenicists. This article disentangles the concept of degeneracy from its close etymological siblings and offers a brief overview of the historical and contemporary understandings of degeneracy in science. This presumed symmetry between the "silence from which we came" and "the silence of death" appears to me to be a rather "broken symmetry" (insert the real "God particle" here, lol) because the one silence has somehow succeeded in producing us, while, according to Dr. Rnnegard, the other is wholly without the power to produce us altogether anew. And this is because of a hidden prejudice by which ones conception of time, temporality and even dimensionality is truncated. This prejudice unmasked would be that unself-conscious conceit of the human mind that its concept map exhaustively covers Reality. So the divide between, philosophically-minded at least, theists and atheists is one of belief in what I will term here big-R reality vs. small-R reality. This divide goes far beyond the mere belief or non-belief in a transcendent creator-being. I think this hinges on an understanding of personal identity, namely is personal ID based on the maintenance of a threadlike continuity or is it merely based upon the satisfaction of a finite collection of precursor conditions such that if the laundry list of such conditions could be fulfilled once, then it could not be necessarily the case that this list could never more find fulfillment. It is likely that, in the majority of cases, atheism is an ethical choice and a moral stance, which for logical consistencys sake must altogether forego an opposing position to an unfounded metaphysical claim of the religionist that God exists. In other words, the principled atheist does not believe in the proposition, God exists for moral, ethical, social, cultural, historical reasons, but also for reasons of viscerally personal taste. The principled atheist dismisses all metaphysical claims and so may only truly dismiss the proposition, God exists by asserting, after the fashion of Wittgenstein, Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one must be silent. In other words, the proposition, God exists is not false; it is merely that this proposition is meaningless. But is it really? Can we not conceive of a situation in which this proposition could possess a self-consistent and intelligible meaning?

A possible moral implications of the anthropic principle is the personal aspects of the fine-tuning argument or its application to one's personal existence. One should perhaps think twice before throwing out a given feature of the original fine tuning of one's anthropic incarnation. For example I was born Catholic so should I think twice therefore before I consider leaving the Church in favor of some evangelical or even more different faith or belief system?

There appears to be a provincialist ethical and moral implications of the anthropic cosmological principle in light of the fine-tuning argument and controversy.

Christ reformed metaphysical work in redeeming mankind. A key to this is that when the devil tempted Christ, like Adam before him, was actually tempted in that there was a real possibility of him falling prey to this temptation. There had to have been real risk of failure of this divine redemptive project or otherwise everything which transpired within the history of its fulfillment would have been a mere charade. Metaphysical work appears to require the free will of at least two or more persons, possibly three, if the complexity processing capacity of the ground of being needs to be superseded in the process.

Discuss the conceit of the human mind in believing that its concept map exhaustively covers reality use the analogy of the peripheral field of vision which is limited but whose demarcation is not visible because beyond the purview of the visual field is not blackness but nothingness.

Re investigate the color analogy for consciousness in discussing the absence of a concept of consciousness and the reality of transcendental mind

Investigate the multifarious implications of the concept of metaphysical work, for example, in the contexts of free will, collapse of the wavefunction, noncomputability of consciousness, inertia of real particles, spontaneous decoherence of particles and energy configurations with total energy exceeding the Planck mass-energy, non-gravitating of vacuum and virtual particles, qualified gravitation of superposition states, etc., still further theological applications of this concept: fall of Mankind, redemptive acts of Christ, e.g, when tempted by the Devil, when forsaken by God, when bodily resurrected, etc.

There would have to be a unity of the human spirit at work here which, again, would bespeak a transcendental concept of consciousness known only to a transcendental mind.

How do we distinguish what is an artifact of fine tuning versus what is an act of interpretation of partially ambiguous data?

The case of multiple consciousnesses and centers of volition has a distinct topology from that of a solitary consciousness or center of volition. If the phenomenal self is real then it must be enclosed within its solitary ground of being in order for interaction with the other or others to be authentic. Paradoxically enough, reality must be the product of mutual agreement in participatory collaboration between selves and so the self is not phenomenally real but merely an avatar as well as that of all other selves appearing with within the presentational continuum of the self.

Is the self is grounded within its own light cone or is it merely grounded within a single universe or is it grounded within the multiverse as a whole or is its ground altogether transcendental?
