GENERAL INFORMATION

SINGAPORE CHANGI AIRPORT TELEPHONE DIRECTORY

This directory contains a listing of telephone and facsimile numbers and mailing addresses.

If you are a PABX user, you may key „O‟ to inform the telephone operator of details of any change in your extension

due to staff movement.

Below are some features available for extension users in CAG PABX:

Answer a Call * telephone ringing

1. Lift handset * connected to caller

2. Replace handset

Answer 2nd

Call (hears one burst of call waiting tone)

* existing call

1. Press FLASH button * hears dial tone

2. Press *00 * connected to 2nd

caller

3. Replace handset * disconnect 2nd

caller + telephone rings again

4. Lift handset * connects to 1st caller

5. Replace handset

Remarks: To toggle between calls, repeat steps 1 and 2 of the above

Dialling Out: 1. Lift handset * hear dial tone

2. Dial 9 + Telephone No. * ringing at other end

(external and internal tones are similar)

Automatic Callback:

Upon reaching a busy extension, 1. Press 5

2. Action is confirmed by prompt ‘Your request is recorded. You may hang up.’

3. Hang up. If callback is not required, just hang-up.

Call Forwarding

1. Lift handset * hears dial tone

(1) All Calls to another Extension No.

2. Dial *#60 followed by

Forwarded Extn No.

Conference Call:

1. Lift up the handset. 2. Dial and connect to the 1st party. 3. Request first called party to hold on

the line. 4. Press the FLASH button (R key or

tap the cradle in some phone type) to put 1

st party on hold.

5. Dial your 2nd party and wait to be connected.

6. Inform your 2nd party that a Conference will be initiated.

7. Press the FLASH button (R key or

tap the cradle in some phone type). 8. You will hear a dial tone. 9. Dial the access code 3 for

Conference. 10. All 3 parties are now connected in

conference

Remarks: On encountering an engaged tone or wrong dialling, press FLASH button once or twice to retrieve original call

Mute: Pressing and holding MUTE turns off the microphone in the handset. You can talk privately

with someone in the room without the person on the phone hearing you.

M (Memory Dial): Enable user to store 1 number in the memory button
