What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

Page 2: Technologies i have learnt

Camera

I used a Sony . . . . . . DV Camera to shoot my film along with a tripod

Page 3: Technologies i have learnt

Lens

At the front of the camera is the lens which I had to clean before to taking it to film to make sure my shots were clear.

Side panel

On the left side of the camera is Screen Which can come out on its hinge , it will display the footage when you are filming and behind it there is a set of buttons which ; one of which is the zebra tool which shows lines on the screen when there is exposure, it can be set as: off , 70 were exposure at 70 is shown and this is the level of exposure you want to see on a characters face and 100 were anything in the shot at 100 exposure has lines, this is what you want to avoid in your shot anywhere as it is over exposure.

Back

On the back of the camera are a group of buttons which are: the lighting settings including white balance which is what I used to get the correct lighting in my film, to use it you point the lens toward a plain white surface at about 45 degrees then press the white balance button and it will auto fix the lighting.

Power

On the right of the back of the camera is the power button which can switch the camera to 4 modes : VCR which is the mood use to film with the camera, off, memory and camera which is used to view back what you have filmed.

Tape

On the left side of the camera is the side used for putting in and taking out your DV tapes there is an eject button used to open the side and then on the part that opens is a button labelled push which you press to close the camera again, it also has a zoom and photo button placed above it, this is ergonomically placed as in the placement of this button was thought about in context of when you hold the camera as your hand is over this button when you are filming

Top

Along the top of the camera is a few buttons for filming and at the end of the camera is the microphone which picks up the sound for my film, when there is conversations the camera needs to be close to pick up what they are saying clearly this also gives the effect of . . . . , the buttons behind the microphone are for zoom and to start / stop the recording.

Side

The side has a lot of features on it , at the front nearer the lens is the zoom and focus . . . . . The focus makes the shot either really blurry (un-focused) or really sharp (in-focus)
