Course: Met 161 Engineering Drawing Instructor: Robert R. Latham II, CMfgE. Office: W142 Telephone: 498-2167 www.robert-latham.net Text: Technical Drawing With Engineering Graphics, By Giesecke et al Description: This course is designed to prepare students with the necessary skills to interpret

and construct engineering drawings. Lectures address such topics as drawing interpretation, orthographic projection systems, dimensioning, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, while laboratory sessions give the students practice in drawing creation. Two class hours and three laboratory hours per week.

Attendance: Cut once for free, cut twice –grade reduced 1 letter grade, 3rd cut you will be

removed from the class. Last day to withdraw without penalty is Wednesday, April 20, 2016.

Grades: 1. Lab Grade Lab work is intrinsic to the course. Therefore, all lab work must be

performed here, not at home or on the job. The lab grade is the average of all the submitted drawing models.

2. Final Grade

There will be 3 or 4 hourly exams and a comprehensive final exam. Your final grade is calculated as follows: 60% Lab Grade 20% Exam average 20% Final exam

creation will be subject to academic discipline.
