o Redesigned the SDP’s formula for allocating Title I funds to the 215 schools, incorporating the impact of the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s (PDE’s) U.S. Department of Education (USDE)-approved waiver from various requirements under the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001.

o Ensured compliance with complex federal requirements across offices whose work was impacted by the PDE’s USDE—approved waiver.

• Assisted in the preparation of a “model attributes” package of practices that successful grant program managers use to manage their federal resources effectively and to ensure compliance.

• Co-developed and executed a plan of action to bring SDP into compliance with the identification and monitoring of subgrantees.

• Developed a feasibility study and made recommendations for a process to scan key grant documents district-wide using an existing vendor in order to create a central document repository to assist with record retention requirements and to allow the SDP to provide documentation to federal monitors and auditors in a more timely fashion.

• Restructured and directly managed the work of the Office of Non Public Programs (ONP). o Realigned tasks and created job descriptions for positions and hired personnel to perform the

administrative functions of the ONP. o Directly supervised the work of 89 instructional staff in 98 non public schools. o Developed and delivered professional development aligned to Charlotte Danielson’s Framework for

• Supported the implementation of and reporting of progress against the Corrective Action Plan with the PDE and the USDE’s Risk Management Services, as required as part of the audit resolution process for USDE’s Office of the Inspector General’s Audit of the SDP’s use of 2005-2006 federal funds.

o Created the new Office of Grant Compliance, building on the foundation of the former Office of Title I. o Created job descriptions for positions and hired 19 personnel to perform the functions of the Office of

and critical care units. Assist Child Life staff with special events and group activities; supervise patients in the playroom; provide one-on-one interaction with patients; make room visits for special requests (games, toys, crafts); and, perform other duties as requested.

• Basser Research Center for BRCA, Abramson Cancer Center: Participated in interview project for video

launch of the center on October 8, 2012, for future trainings and for future publications; participated in The Cure is Within campaign.

• Abramson Cancer Center, 2010-Present: Resource for patients who are diagnosed with a BRCA mutations

and/or patients considering prophylactic surgeries and/or tug flap reconstruction.

• Breast Cancer 3-Day, 2002 - 20012: Walked 60 miles in 3 days, organized 3-Day pit crews, and

successfully fund raised over $40,000 in ten years.
