Captain Clutch: Islanders captain, John Tavares led the team in goals (6) and points (11), ranks second in assists (5) and tied for the team lead in

GWG with one. Tavares two-goal night in Game 6 lifted the Islanders over the Panthers and into the second round. Tavares' five goals are tied for the

NHL post-season lead entering the second round. The captain also leads all forwards still active in the playoffs in T.O.I. at 25:16.

Overtime: In New York's first round match-up with the Florida Panthers, three of the six games in the series required overtime (5 OT periods). New York

went 3-0 improving 33-14 (.702) all-time in overtime, including 17-7 at home.  The .702 overtime percentage is the best in NHL history.

NYI vs. TBL: This is the second-ever post-season meeting between the Islanders and Lightning. They met in the playoffs in 2004, Tampa Bay won

topped the Islanders in five games (4-1) en route to winning the Stanley Cup.

Home Security: The Islanders earned 55 points at home in 2015-16 with a 25-11-5 record.  They equaled their highest home point total since 2003-04,

which marked the most points earned at home since 1983-84 (57 points). The Islanders are 12-5-3 in their last 20 games in Brooklyn (including the post

season).

Post-Season Firsts: First round Game 3 (April 17 vs. FLA) saw three Islanders record their first post-season goals.  Ryan Pulock and Shane Prince

notched their first playoff goals in second period (Pulock also added his first assist on the Prince goal). Thomas Hickey also recorded his first post-

season goal on Sunday, the Overtime game winner.  Alan Quine's double OT GWG was his first post-season goal.

The Greiss is Right: Along with setting career highs in games played (41) and wins (23) this season,  Thomas Greiss finished the regular season with a

franchise record .925 save percentage. Griess made 42 saves in his first-ever post-season start, April 14 at FLA then recorded a career-high 47 saves in

the double OT in over FLA in Game 5.

100: The Islanders reached the 100-point mark for the second straight season and the ninth time in franchise history.  This is the first time since 1980-81

and 1981-82 that the Islanders have recorded back-to-back 100-point seasons.

Goals Against: The Islanders allowed just 211 goals against this regular season, the fewest allowed by an Islanders team in a complete 82-game

season since 2003-04 (210 goals).
