Honourable Health Minister of TamilNadu Dr.C.Vijayabaskar launched the EECP program in Vellore Medical College Hospital. The Inauguration was also attended by Honourable Minister of Education Thiru.K.C.Veeramani, Vellore Collector Dr.R.Nandhagopal IAS, Director of Medical Education Dr.Geetha Lakshmi, Dean Vellore Medical College Hospital, Sathyathiya munavasa , Chief Cardiologist Dr.Thirumal Badu, Ass Prof of Cardiology Dr.Sababathy and other dignitaries. The Health Minister is very appreciative of the Program and held discussion with cardiologist and Vaso-Meditech Pvt Ltd Directors to expand the program and the model of the Public Private Partnership. Prof Dr. Thirumal Babu said EECP is currently the only approved, safe and effective Non-Invasive treatment for patients with heart disease. The treatment will be given to improve the myocardial collaterals and thereby patients cardiac symptoms. This program will be a boon to thousands of cardiac patients in and around Vellore. This treatment found to be effective for patients suffering from heart failure, chest pain, and shortness of breath, tiredness, those who are afraid of bypass surgery.
