Chapter Funding
Each local Chapter may request funding to support chapter activities/initiatives including membership development, and organizing Distinguished Lecturer Tours (DLTs), Distinguished Speakers Programs (DSPs), social events and workshops.
The chapter must fill in a questionnaire form in early part of the year and request funding.
The Region Director approves or modifies each Chapter request, taking into account the balance in the Region.
Each Region proposal is submitted to the MS Director for final approval

TAC Action Plan 2016-2017
TAC Action Plan: Promote the Asia Pacific Young Researcher Award and
select winners for 2016 and 2017. Promote the Asia-Pacific Outstanding Paper Award and
select winners for 2016 and 2017.
Current Status: Promoting the above awards for 2017 at ICC and also
through various email lists. (Deadline for application and nomination is July 31)
Call for Application (1/3):The 12nd AP Young Research Awards The IEEE ComSoc AP Young Researcher Award honors
young researchers who have been very active in IEEE ComSoc publications and conference activities over the last 3 years (Jan. 2014 to Dec. 2016 ).
Eligibility: Age 35 or younger (i.e., born on or after 1981/01/01) Member of the IEEE ComSoc Asia-Pacific region.
Award Prize: ONE Best YRA with a certificate and US$500 SEVERAL Outstanding YRAs with a certificate and US$250.
Call for Application (2/3):The 12nd AP Young Research Awards
Application should include: A cover page that contains the applicant's name, affiliation, mailing
address, telephone, fax number, and e-mail address. The applicant’s biography (up to 400 words). Description of the applicant’s major research contributions over the last 3
years, including clear discussions of 3 most representative publications(e.g., journal/conference/magazine papers and monographs) published over the last 3 years. For each publication, please provide SCI and Google citation information, impact factor (if applicable), significance of the publication, and the applicant’s own contribution to the publication (up to 2 A4 pages).
A complete list of publications and conference activities (over the last 3 years only), and the SCI/Google Scholar citations and H-index (of the entire career).
Awards/recognitions received (over the last 3 years only).

Call for Nomination (1/2):The 6th AP Outstanding Paper Award
The IEEE ComSoc AP Outstanding Paper Award honors outstanding original papers authored by members in the AP region over the last 3 years (Jan. 2014 to Dec. 2016).
Eligibility: Appeared in IEEE ComSoc journals, magazines, conference
proceedings, and so on (including those technically co-sponsored by ComSoc).
All authors’ affiliations must be from the AP region. Nominated by IEEE ComSoc AP region members (not self-
nomination).
Award Prize: Plaque and honorarium up to US $500.

Every half year, on request basis IEICE provided a CFP this April. Invite to provide your CFPs by Oct. 1.

A few line description is preferable, say 50word limit. A description exceeding this limitation will not be
appeared on our website. We sent invitations of article submission in Aug. 2016 and
March 2017. However, we received responses only from IEICE Japan and KICS Korea.
