Synology LIMITED WARRANTY AND LIABILITYSynology provides a limited warranty for its Products only to the initial person or entity that originally purchased the Products from Synology or its authorized distributor or retailer. Synology warrants that every hardware portion of the Products will be free from physical defects in material and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase, or the Product will be repaired or replaced as determined solely by Synology. If the Product proves defective during this warranty period, you can contact the local dealer in order to obtain assistance. You must provide proof of purchase and a bar code number from the Product’s packaging when asking for assistance. Synology Products are barebones devices so Synology makes no warranty of the hard disk installed, or warranty on compatibility of all hard disks.

Please read these safety instructions carefully before use, and keep this manual in a safe place for your

Keep away from direct sunlight and away from chemicals.

Make sure the environment does not experience abrupt changes in temperature or

Do keep Synology product upright. Do not lay it down

DS107+/DS107/DS107e requires one 3.5” SATA hard disk for installation. Refer to the following steps for

details:

Warning! If you use a hard disk with data on it to install, system will format the hard disk and erase all data in some cases. Please back up the data if you need it in the future.

Connect the HDD Data Cable and HDD Power Cable to the hard disk.

Place the server horizontally on a desk. The rear panel should be facing you.

Push to slide away the upper case.

Pull up the upper case.

Place the hard disk inside the HDD bay.

Fix the hard disk with the 4 HDD screws provided.

Connect the HDD Data Cable and HDD Power Cable to the motherboard.

Attach the upper case and slide it back.

Fix the case with the 2 case screws provided.

1 Connect the AC power adapter to the server and plug in the AC power cord to the power outlet.

Use the LAN cable to connect the server to your switch/router/hub.

Press the power button on the front panel to power up the server. Wait for the POWER LED to be

constant blue.

Windows User

Insert the installation CD to your computer.

Choose Set up the Synology Server on the autorun menu.

Click Browse to select the “.pat” installation file in the installation CD.

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup process.

Note: If you choose One-Click Setup, the admin password will be blank.

Mac User

Insert the installation CD to your computer.

Double click on the CD-Rom Drive thumbnail.

Double click Synology Assistant-SYNOLOGY.dmg.

Double click on the automatically generated thumbnail Synology Assistant-SYNOLOGY.dmg on the

FESTPLATTE INSTALLIEREN

Der DS107+/DS107/DS107e erfordert eine 3,5” SATA Festplatte zur Installation. Die folgenden Schritte

Veuillez lire attentivement les présentes instructions de sécurité avant d’utiliser le produit et garder ce

INSTALLATION DU DISQUE DUR

L’installation d’un disque dur SATA 3,5 po est requise pour les modèles DS107+/DS107/ DS107e.

METTRE LE SERVEUR SOUS TENSION

Branchez l’adaptateur secteur au serveur et branchez le cordon d’alimentation secteur à la prise de

courant.

Utilisez le câble réseau pour brancher le serveur à votre commutateur/routeur/concentrateur.

Appuyez sur le bouton d’alimentation sur la face avant pour allumer le serveur. Attendez que le

voyant DEL bleu de l’alimentation ne clignote plus.

INSTALLAZIONE DEL DISCO RIGIDO (HDD)

Il DS107+/DS107/DS107e richiede un disco rigido SATA da 3.5” per essere installato. Per effettuare

l’installazione, seguire i passaggi seguenti:

Avvertenza: Se per l’installazione si utilizza un disco rigido nel quale sono presenti dei dati, il sistema provvederà a formattare questo disco. Effettuare un back up dei dati prima di procedere.

Collegare il cavo Dati HDD ed il cavo di alimentazione al disco rigido.

Posizionare il server orizzontalmente sul piano. Il pannello posteriore deve trovarsi rivolto verso di voi.

Spingere e far scorrere la parte superiore del case.

Sollevare la parte superiore del case.

Porre il disco rigido nel vano per HDD.

Fissare il disco rigido con 4 delle 7 viti fornite.

Collegare il cavo Dati HDD ed il cavo di alimentazione al disco rigido.

Appoggiare e far scorrere la parte superiore del case.

Fissare il case con le rimanenti 2 viti fornite.

ACCENDERE IL SERVER

Collegare l’adattatore AC al server e collegare il cavo di alimentazione AC alla presa di corrente.

Usare il cavo LAN per collegare il server allo switch/router/hub.

Premere il tasto Power sul pannello frontale per accendere il server. Attendere che il LED POWER blu resti acceso costantemente.

La unidad DS107+/DS107/DS107e precisa un disco duro SATA de 3,5 pulgadas para su instalación.
