SYMPOSIUM

CHEMISTRY IN HIGH TEMPERATURE AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS

The symposium on Chemistry in High Temperature Aqueous Solutions was held August 25-27, 1987 in Provo, Utah under the sponsorship of Brigham Young University (BYU) and the Electric Power Research In- stitute (EPRI). The organizing committee consisted of Reed M. Izatt, James J. Christensen and John L. Oscarson of BYU.

In the Symposium, emphasis was given to the chemistry occurring in high temperature aqueous solutions and to the methods used to collect and model experimental data from such solutions. The scientific program contained 41 papers presented in oral and poster form together with a panel discussion. These papers and the panel discussion are being published either in full text or in abstract form as EPRI Report NP-6005, Proceedings: Symposium on Chemistry in High Temperature Aqueous Solutions. This Report is available from Research Reports Center, P.O. Box 50490, Palo Alto, CA 94303. Twelve of the papers are being published in two special issues of the Journal of Solution Chemistry.

Partial financial support for the Symposium was provided by Hart Scientific Co., OLI Systems Inc., Serpentix, Tronac Inc., and Wiltec.
