Baby Jesus and an Angel.
This is baby Jesus. He is the reason people
celebrate Christmas. Christmas is Jesus’
birthday.
People go to church on Christmas and Christmas
Eve.
Sometimes children do plays about Christmas.
This is a Christmas Angel.
People cut down trees for Christmas. These are usually evergreen trees, that stay green
all the time.
People decorate the trees with all kinds of ornaments and lights. Sometimes they put a star on
top.
This is one kind of ornament. We made
ornaments out of bread to take home
with us.
People decorate their houses for
Christmas.
These are lights that people put on
their trees and houses.
People give gifts at Christmas time.
People hang stockings by the fireplace.
Here are three stockings hung by

This is the Christmas Star.
These are the Christmas Candles.
This is Santa Claus. Children tell Santa want they want for Christmas. Some people call Santa, Father Christmas or Kris
Kringle.
Santa rides in a sleigh. And it is pulled by……
Reindeer. And the most famous reindeer
of all is…Rudolph!
Santa has elves that help him make the
toys for boys and girls.
People eat candy canes at Christmas time. There are lots of different flavors.
Peppermint,cherry, strawberry. What’s your
favorite?
These are Christmas Bells. People ring bells
at Christmas time.
These are Christmas Carolers. They sing
songs about Christmas to make people happy.
These are christmas cookies. People like to make cookies to
eat and share.
Some people make gingerbread houses at Christmas time.
Some people make crafts at Christmas
time.
This is a poinsettia. It is a flower that
people give at Christmas time.
