UNIT – I Sprinting: Types of starts Sports Medium (Crough Start) and Long Start (Elongated) and arm action, head Position, teaching stages, use of starting blocks, and adjustment on various stages which respect of body mechanics, How to finish. Middle Distance Run: Techniques and starting of pace judgment, arm action leg and arm action, Length, frequency of strides.

UNIT – II Long Distance Run Various styles and types of runners and prevalent methods of training long distance runners. Leg and arm action. Hurdles: Use of correct form, during take off in the air, and landing, rhythm, length and frequency of striden and arm action.
