Eric Fordin

Notable developments under Mr. Fordin’sleadership while with The Related Group include; Loft, Loft 2, W South Beach, Apogee Beach, Beachwalk, Hyde Resort & Residences, Residences by Armani Casa, Hyde Beach House, Etaru Beach Club and Restaurant.

After earning a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of South Florida, Mr. Fordin attended New York University where he completed real estate‐related courses in project management, cash flow analysis, and construction essentials for owners and developers.

With 25 years of commercial real estate experience, Mr. Fordin has been involved in all aspects of acquisition, entitlement, development, financing, leasing, sales, and management of for‐sale residential, Hospitality and mixed‐use development projects. Prior to forming SYDA, Mr. Fordin was a Senior Vice President with The Related Group, a privately held real estate development company based in Miami, FL. During his nearly 14 year tenure at The Related Group, Eric was responsible for sourcing development opportunities as well as the oversight of entitlement, design, sale, and completion of over 2,000 for‐sale residential units primarily located in South Florida and valued in excess of $3 billion. Mr. Fordin also identified and negotiated land acquisitions, developed and administered budgets, and led teams of general contractors, architects, engineers, designers and other consultants.

Mr. Fordin formed SYDA Development in 2017 in order to take advantage of his extensive ground up development experience and management of strategic partnerships. Mr. Fordin’s primary focus is on ground‐up and value‐add development opportunities and has day to day oversight of the firm’s development team.

Prior, Kenneth spent 1998–2003 as Director of Capital Markets for Madison Equities and from 2003–2010 as Founder & Managing Director of Carlton Group’s hospitality practice.

Kenneth’s professional career began in the Hilton Hotels training program at their flagship property in New York City which then lead to various management positions across many of New York’s iconic restaurants.
