Good evening! On behalf of the students, families, and staff of Southwestern Christian School, I would like to extend our thanks for your support of our school and our annual Spring Fundraiser. Each year we rely on the generous support of the Yuma community in attending and participating in our fundraiser. Without your support, SWCS would not be able to offer the exceptional Christian education that it has historically provided to children in the Yuma area. As you enjoy this evening’s event, I would like to encourage you to consider participating in the Arizona Student Tuition Tax Credit Program. Arizona allows taxpayers to make a donation toward a private school, such as SWCS, and receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit on their Arizona taxes. In addition, donors can also claim their donation on their federal income tax as a charitable contribution. By doing this, many people make money on their original donation amount. For more information, please contact our office at (928) 726-3086. Again, thank you for your financial and prayer support of Southwestern Christian School. God has provided us with a great ministry at First Christian Church, and we are honored to serve Him daily by meeting the needs of each child in our care. We hope you enjoy your time spent with us this evening! In Christ, Debbie Stewart Principal

A Note from the Auction Co-Chairs

We are pleased to welcome you to an evening at the Southwestern Christian School Spring Fundraiser. What better way to support the Southwestern Christian School community than by participating in this annual event? Everybody’s time, donations, and bids benefit our children and our school. Many volunteers have worked long and hard to make tonight an astounding success. We offer our sincere thanks to all who shared their time and talent with us to create this wonderful evening. We would also like to thank the Yuma community for all your support to help make this a night, unlike any other! Our auctioneer, Larry Smart, will be looking for you to bid fast, high, and often. Get ready to unleash your inner Cowboy/Cowgirl!

NEW THIS YEAR!

Guaranteed Prices Many auction items are available for purchase at buy-it-now prices. Look for those items that have a “Guaranteed Price” listed on the auction bid sheets at the Denim, Diamonds, and Boots SWCS PTO Spring Fundraiser.

Items with a Guaranteed Price will be sold to the first person to write down their bid number on the bid sheet where indicated for the Guaranteed Price. If there is no buyer at the Guaranteed Price, the item will be sold to the highest bidder.

5th Bidder FRENZY FUN

On every bid sheet the fifth bid line will be highlighted for the 5th Bidder FRENZY FUN. Anyone who has bid on an item and is the 5th bidder for that item will be entered into a separate raffle called “5th Bidder FRENZY FUN. Winner of 5th Bidder FRENZY FUN will be listed on the Winner’s board at close of auction. Raffle prize has yet to be determined.

Chinese Auction A Chinese Auction is essentially the combination of a silent auction and a raffle. Rather than having bid sheets, bidders will purchase tickets and use those to bid for prizes. The more you want an item, the more tickets you put in the jar/bag to increase your odds of winning.

Chinese Auction tickets will be on sale at the Registration counter for $2 each. You must write your bid number on the back of each ticket you receive in order for the staff to determine who wins the item when the winning ticket is pulled from the jar/bag of a Chinese Auction item. If no number is found on the winning ticket then another ticket will be drawn until one with a bid number on the ticket is pulled.

Auction Rules and Procedures General Auction Rules

A B

The success of SWCS PTO’s Annual Spring Fundraiser depends on friendly competition amongst all bidders. Please review and familiarize yourself with the following rules and procedures. Registration Upon arrival, guests will register and receive a bid number. This number is what you will write down on any bid sheet of the item you wish to bid on. Also, tickets will be sold at registration for the Chinese style Auction. You must write your bid number on each of the tickets you purchase. Silent Auction Rules

The Silent Auction will begin at 5:00 pm on Friday, March 13, 2015. A bid sheet, showing the item number, catalog title and item description, minimum opening bid, and designated incremental raises will be provided for each Silent Auction item. Writing your bid number next to one of the stated amounts on the bid sheet enters a bid.

Items will be sold to the highest bidder at the close of the bidding, except when an item has been bid on utilizing the “Guaranteed Purchase Price” or “Buy it Now” option.

Purchases may only be collected by presentation of paid receipt. Purchased items, gift certificates, tickets and vouchers are to be picked up at the check out station on Auction night.

Winning bid numbers will be posted on the Winner’s Board at the end of the evening.

Live Auction Rules

The Auctioneer reserves the right to announce conditions of sale, to open the bidding at a minimum price, and to reject any bid that, in his opinion, is not commensurate with the value of the item offered. To enter a bid, the bidder must raise his/her hand to the auctioneer or to a spotter who will relay the signal to the auctioneer.

The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the buyer, who immediately assumes the full risk of loss of and responsibility for the item.

In the event of a dispute, the Annual Auction Chairs, in consultation with the auctioneer, have the sole and final discretion to determine the successful bidder, to withdraw the offering, or to re-offer and resell the item in question.

The winning bidder will receive, for his/her signature, a receipt showing his/her bidder number and number of the Live Auction item, and the winning amount of the bid. This receipt is to be presented to the cashier for payment. Purchases may be collected only with a paid receipt.
