Sustainable Freight Transport Global Programmes and Activities The SFT- Global Programmes&Activities provides relevant information about institutions and organizations working on sustainable freight transport across all modes of transport. It also provides some information about funding organizations in this area.

Maritime Transport Maritime trade accounts for almost 90% of world trade and continues to expand. Emissions from global shipping are expected to increase by up to 250% by 2050, depending on economic growth and global energy demand. Sustainability and resilience-motivated initiatives span a broad range of issues and include safety, security, labour conditions, marine and air pollution, GHG emissions, as well as mitigating climate change.
