RPA (Part –Time Study)and Volunteering Volunteering for 20 hours or more per week for up to 8 weeks in a row will be counted alongside 280glh

It will only be learning attached to accredited outcomes which counts towards total RPA for part time study of 280 glh

ASDAN Community Volunteering Qualifications can accommodate both volunteering and accredited outcomes counting towards 280 glh

ASDAN Community Volunteering Qualifications

• Level 1 to 3• Award and Certificate size- Award 8 credits (1 credit approximately 10 glh)- Certificate 13 credits

• UCAS Points at Level 3 - Award 30 - Certificate 50

• Smaller 2 credit qualification at entry 3 and levels 1 and 2

• Mandatory Units

- Understanding what volunteering is about (Level 1 and 2 ONE credit, Level 3 THREE credits)- Carrying out own volunteering role

(Level 1 and 2 ONE credit, Level 3 TWO credits)

Assessment and Support

• Recording documents at all levels

3. Plan, Do and Review SheetsThese sheets help the learner to formalise the Plan, Do and Reviewprocess and to develop Wider Key Skills when they carry out theirchosen challenges.

4. Summary of Achievement An opportunity to highlight achievement and describe the skills used incompleting the Volunteering Short Course.

5. Personal StatementAn means of encouraging the learner to reflect on what they weregood at and what they need to improve.

6. Record of progressAn important page that records the challenges completed and thecredits gained.

To be successful at verification, all the following mustbe present:

1. The correct number of Credits gained from the challenges2. A Portfolio of Evidence3. The correct number of PDRs: 3 sets for a 60-hour 6 credit award 3 sets for a 50-hour 5 credit award 2 sets for a 40-hour 4 credit award 2 sets for a 30-hour 3 credit award 1 set for a 20-hour 2 credit award 1 set for a 10-hour 1 credit award4. A Summary of Achievement5. A Personal Statement6. A Record of Progress

Certification

• All certificates are issued by ASDAN Central Office

• After verification, send names to ASDAN using the online Certificate Request Form

• Contact ASDAN if postal registration required
