Job Description / Duties:

The Supply Chain Planning Engineer will assist in incorporating business intelligence, master scheduling, forecasting process, and forecast information gathered from sales, new product development, operations, finance, retailers, and other sources. This position will be responsible for creating stories within the Sales & Operations planning process, and for communicating any risks and opportunities to different functions within the company. The SC Planning Engineer will additionally be responsible for ad hoc data queries and compilations as necessary to support the Planning, Operations and Customer Service teams. High levels of mathematical and analytical proficiency are critical to the performance of this role, as are the personality traits of self-confidence, relentless objectivity and the pursuit of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:

• Structure, validate, manage, and analyze large amounts of data specific to supply chain analytical projects, problem solving, and decision support. This will be the primary responsibility along with incorporating this into our business intelligence platform

• Recognize, follow and analyze trends in the market • Research historical data to map trends • Maps and documents processes • Prepare and present reports, charts, and tables detailing these market factors to help inform marketing and

production strategy decisions • Assist in developing formats and automating processes for reporting various supply chain metrics and Key

Performance Indicators • Work with leadership team to understand business needs/ requirements and define supply chain services needed to

address these needs/requirements • Drive continuous improvement by working with the leadership team to understand gaps in key performance areas

• Analyze supply chain performance in conjunction with systems/expectations to improve the joint supply chain metrics

• Identify the drivers of the variance in monthly forecasts

• Drive continuous improvement by working with the leadership team to understand gaps in key performance areas

• Analyze supply chain performance in conjunction with systems/expectations to improve the joint supply chain metrics

• In addition to these duties, an associate must also routinely examine their own methodologies to find ways of improving predictive accuracy

Qualifications:

Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics or other quantitative majors

Preferred

• 1-2 years experience with data analysis and modeling and supply chain analysis beneficial but not required

• Strong analytical, modeling, statistical skills and analysis with attention to detail

• Programming experience or through university coursework (VBA)

• Expert (at least 2 st. deviation above average) in Excel (e.g. data manipulation, charts, and complex formula)

• Ability to understand complex business requirements and define planning tools that enable successful management of demand and/or supply plans

• Knowledge in Power BI

• Ability to communicate at different organizational levels and willingness to take initiative are particularly important

• IBF CPF, CPIM or CSCP certification is advantageous
