To incorporate supplier diversity as part of every corporate strategy within the UK

Success So Far

Since the company formation in July 2006, more than £35m worth of business has been generated between our Corporate Members and Ethnic Minority Businesses. Corporate membership has increased by over 100% since MSDUK began, from 16 to 34 members, and we have over 300 Ethnic Minority Businesses registered on our database

MSDUK currently has 35 Corporate Members listed

under three categories: Charter, Regular and Associate

membership. Each one of the Corporate Members has a

dedicated MSDUK account manager who works closely

with their procurement teams to find opportunities for

you.

Whilst Premium Suppliers have access to all of the benefits we offer, this is subject to completing the Certification Process that MSDUK now have in place. More information can be found out about this process on the next page.

To ensure that as an organisation we are representing

businesses that meet our definition criteria of

an EMB, MSDUK has introduced a certification process

that verifies that 51% ownership, management and

control of the business is by people of ethnic minority

origin.

Benefits of Certification

Becoming a MSDUK certified supplier provides EMBs with greater opportunities to compete for business in the corporate and government sectors Below are the benefits of becoming a MSDUK Certified EMB:

Validation of EMB status

Only MSDUK certified EMBs will be referred for any contract opportunities

Only MSDUK certified EMBs will have access to one-to-one meetings with buyers at MSDUK ‘Meet the Buyer’ events

Use of the MSDUK Certified Supplier logo for your Marketing Purposes

Certification Process

Becoming a MSDUK certified EMB is a short and simple process!

Certification ApprovalYour application will be reviewed by the certification committee and a certificate

will be issued once approved

MSDUK to Undertake Certification Site Visit

We will visit your premises at an agreed time to verify certain information

Submit Certification Documents

Post or fax requested documents and sign the mandate

Joining MSDUK will not win you business with our

Corporate Members automatically. You will need to put

some work in, but there are a number of ways that you

can utilise the MSDUK network to benefit your business.

A half day industry specific event

Allows you to meet category buyers and procurement executives

Begins with a short industry focussed seminar

Followed by 2 hours of one to one meetings between you and our corporate members

Ends with a buffet and networking drinks reception which is open to all industries

Supplier Diversity Day

A full day event open to businesses from all industry areas

Enables networking with corporate members and other EMB’s

Includes panel discussions, seminars and workshops on business issues

Provides the opportunity to meet with over 150 people from the MSDUK network

B2B Networking Event

A 3 hour event networking session for all certified EMB’s

Your chance to network informally and get to know other MSDUK businesses

Includes a short workshop and Q&A delivered by MSDUK

Followed a networking drinks reception to discover potential B2B opportunities

MSDUK Conference and Awards Dinner

His is our flagship event taking place every two years

It attracts over 500 attendees throughout the day

Incudes the Business Opportunity Fair where you can exhibit and market your business
