Our Lord! Accept (this service) from us

Verily! You are the All-Hearer, the All-Knower

Rabbanaa taqabbal minnaaa

‘innaka ‘Antas-Samee’ul ‘Aleem


(Al-Baqarah 2:128)

Our Lord! And make us submissive unto You and of our offspring a nation

submissive unto You, and show us our Manâsik (all the ceremonies of

pilgrimage - Hajj and 'Umrah, etc.), and accept our repentance. Truly, You

are the One Who accepts repentance, the Most Merciful.

سلمة ل ة م تنا أم ي نا وإجعلنا مسلمي ل ومن ذر رب

حي إب إلر ك أنت إلتو ن وأرن مناسكنا وتب علينا إ


Rabbanaa waj’alnaa muslimayni laka wa min

zurriyyatinaaa ‘ummatam-muslimatal-laka wa ‘arinaa

manaasikanaa wa tub ‘alaynaa ‘innaka ‘Antat-

Tawwaabur-Raheem


(Al-Baqarah 2:201)

Our Lord! Give us in this world that which is

good and in the Hereafter that which is good,

and save us from the torment of the Fire!

نة وف إلآخرة نيا حس آتنا ف إدل نا أ نة رب حس

وقنا عذإب إلنار


Rabbanaa ‘aatinaa fid-dunyaa hasanatan

wa fil ‘Aakhirati hasanatan wa qinaa

Azaaban-Naar


(Al-Baqarah 2:250)

Our Lord! Pour forth on us patience, set our feet

firm and make us victorious over the disbelieving

people

ن عل إ وثب ت أقدإمنا وإنص نا أفرغ علينا صب رب

إلقوم إلكفرين


Rabbanaaa ‘afrigh ‘alayna sabran wa

sabbit ‘aqdaamanaa wansurnaa ‘alal-

qawmil-kafireen


(Aali Imraan 3:8)

Our Lord! Let not our hearts deviate (from the

truth) after You have guided us, and grant us

mercy from You. Truly, You are the Bestower

نك ذ هديتنا وهب لنا من دلنا ال تزغ قلوبنا بعد إ رب

اب ك أنت إلوه نة إ رح


Rabbanaa laa tuzigh quloobanaa ba’da’ iz

hadaytanaa wa hab lanaa milladunka rahmah;

‘innaka ‘Antal-Wahhaab


(Aali Imraan 3:16)

Our Lord! We have indeed believed, so forgive

us our sins and save us from the punishment of

the Fire

آمنا فاغفر لنا ذنوبنا وقنا عذإب إلنار نا أ ننا إ رب


Rabbanaaa innanaaa ‘aamannaa faghfir lanaa

zunoobanaa wa qinaa ‘azaaban-Naar


(Aali Imraan 3:38)

O my Lord! Grant me from You, a good

offspring. You are indeed the All-Hearer of

invocation

عاء يع إدل ك س نبة إ ة طي ي نك ذر رب هب ل من دل


Rabbi hab lee mil-ladunka zurriyyatan tayyibatan

‘innaka samee’ud-du’aaa’


(Aali Imraan 3:53)

Our Lord! We believe in what You have sent

down, and we follow the Messenger ['Iesa

(Jesus)]; so write us down among those who

bear witness (to the truth i.e. Lâ ilâha ill-Allâh -

none has the right to be worshipped but Allâh)

سول فاكتبنا مع بعنا إلر آمنا بما أنزلت وإت نا أ رب

اهدين إلش


Rabbanaaa ‘aamannaa bimaaa ‘anzalta

wattaba’nar-Rasoola faktubnaa

ma’ashshaahideen


(Aali Imraan 3:147)

Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and our

transgressions (in keeping our duties to You),

establish our feet firmly, and give us victory over

the disbelieving folk

إفنا ف أمرن وثب ت أقدإمنا سنا إغفر لنا ذنوبنا وإ رب

ن عل إلقوم وإنص


Rabbanagh-fir lanaa zunoobanaa wa

‘israafanaa feee ‘amrinaa wa sabbit

‘aqdaamanaa wansurnaa ‘alal-qawmil-kaafireen


(Aali Imraan 3:191)

Our Lord! You have not created (all) this without

purpose, glory to You! (Exalted be You above all

that they associate with You as partners). Give

us salvation from the torment of the Fire

بحانك فقنا عذإب نا ما خلقت هذإ بطال س رب

إلنار


Rabbanaa maa khalaqta haazaa baatilan

Subhaanaka faqinaa ‘azaaban-Naar


(Aali Imraan 3:192)

Our Lord! Verily, whom You admit to the Fire,

indeed, You have disgraced him, and never will

the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers) find

any helpers

المي ك من تدخل إلنار فقد أخزيته وما للظ ننا إ رب

من أنصار


Rabbanaaa ‘innaka man tudkhilin-Naara faqad

‘akhzaytahoo wa maa lizzaalimeena min ‘ansaar


(Aali Imraan 3:193)

Our Lord! Verily, we have heard the call of one (Muhammad Peace be

upon him) calling to Faith: 'Believe in your Lord,' and we have believed.

Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and remit from us our evil deeds, and

make us die in the state of righteousness along with Al-Abrâr

نا آمنا رب آمنوإ برب ك فآ ميان أن أعنا منادي ينادي لال نا س ن

نا إ ب ر

ئاتنا وتوفنا مع إلأبرإر فاغفر لنا ذنوبنا وكف ر عنا سي


Rabbanaaa ‘innanaa sami’naa munaadiyan

yunaadee lil’eemaani ‘an ‘aaminoo bi-Rabbikum

fa’aamannaa; Rabbanaa faghfir lanaa

zunoobanaa wa kaffir ‘annaa sayyi’aatinaa wa

tawaffanaa ma’al-‘abraar


(Aali Imraan 3:194)

Our Lord! Grant us what You promised unto us

through Your Messengers and disgrace us not

on the Day of Resurrection, for You never break

(Your) Promise

زن يوم نا عل رسل وال ت آتنا ما وعدت نا وأ رب

لف إلميعاد ك ال ت ن إلقيامة إ


Rabbanaa wa ‘aatinaa maa wa’attanaa ‘alaa

Rusulika wa laa tukhzina Yawmal-Qiyaamah;

‘innaka laa tukhliful-mee’aad


(An-Nisa 4:75)

Our Lord! Rescue us from this town whose

people are oppressors; and raise for us from

You one who will protect, and raise for us from

You one who will help

نا الم أهلها وإجعل ل نا أخرجنا من هـذه إلقرية إلظ رب

نك نصريإ نا من دل نك وليا وإجعل ل من دل


Rabbanaaa ‘akhrijnaa min haazihil-qaryatiz-

zaalimi ‘ahluhaa waj’al-lanaa mil-ladunka

waliyyan waj’al-lanaa mil-ladunka naseeraa


(Al-Ma'idah 5:83)

Our Lord! We believe; so write us down among

the witnesses

اهدين آمنا فاكتبنا مع إلش نا أ رب


Rabbanaaa ‘aamannaa faktubnaa

ma’ashshaahideen


(Al-A'raf 7:23)

Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves. If You

forgive us not, and bestow not upon us Your

Mercy, we shall certainly be of the losers

نا لنكونن م تغفر لنا وترح ن لنا وإ نا ظلمنا أنفس رب

من إلخاسين


Rabbanaa zalamnaaa ‘anfusanaa wa ‘il-lam

taghfir lanaa wa tarhamnaa lanakoonanna

minal-khaasireen


(Al-A'raf 7:47)

Our Lord! Place us not with the people who are

Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrongdoers).

المي علنا مع إلقوم إلظ نا ال ت رب


Rabbanaa laa taj’alnaa ma’al-qawmiz-zaalimeen


(Al-A'raf 7:89)

Our Lord! Judge between us and our people in

truth, for You are the Best of those who give

judgment

وأنت خري نا إفتح بيننا وبي قومنا بلحق رب

ي إلفات


Rabbanaf-tah baynanaa wa bayana qawminaa

bilhaqqi wa ‘Anta khayrul-faatiheen


(Al-A'raf 7:126)

Our Lord! pour out on us patience, and cause us

to die as Muslims

إ وتوفنا مسلمي نا أفرغ علينا صب رب


Rabbanaaa ‘afrigh ‘alaynaa sabran wa

tawaffanaa muslimeen


(Al-A'raf 7:151)

O my Lord! Forgive me and my brother, and

make us enter into Your Mercy, for you are the

Most Merciful of those who show mercy

تك وأنت رب إغفر ل ولخ وأدخلنا ف رح

ي إح أرحم إلر


Rabbigh-fir lee wa li’akhee wa ‘adkhilnaa fee

rahmatika wa ‘Anta ‘arhamur-raahimeen


(At-Tawbah 9:129)

Allâh is sufficient for me. Lâ ilâha illa Huwa

(none has the right to be worshipped but He), in

Him I put my trust and He is the Lord of

the Mighty Throne

ت وهو رب ال هو عليه توكلـه إ

ال إ ب إلل حس

إلعرش إلعظي


Hasbiyal-laahu laaa ‘ilaaha ‘illaa Huwa ‘alayhi

tawakkaltu wa Huwa Rabbul-‘Arshil-‘Azeem


(Yunus 10:85)

In Allâh we put our trust. Our Lord! Make us not

a trial for the folk who are Zâlimûn (polytheists

and wrong-doing) (i.e. do not make

them overpower us)

المي علنا فتنة ل لقوم إلظ نا ال ت رب


Rabbanaa laa taj’alnaa fitnatal-lilqawmiz-

zaalimeen


(Yunus 10:86)

And save us by Your Mercy from the

disbelieving folk

تك من إلقوم إلكفرين نا برح ون


Wa najjinaa birahmatika minal-qawmil-kaafireen


(Hud 11:47)

O my Lord! I seek refuge with You from asking

You that of which I have no knowledge. And

unless You forgive me and have Mercy on

me, I would indeed be one of the losers

ن أعوذ بك أن أسآل ما ليس ل به عل رب إ

ن إلخاسين ن أكن م ال تغفر ل وترح وإ


Rabbi ‘inneee ‘a’oozu bika ‘an ‘as’alaka maa

laysa lee bihee ‘ilmun wa ‘illaa taghfir lee wa

tarhamneee ‘akum-minal-khaasireen


(Ibrahim 14:35)

O my Lord! Make this city (Makkah) one of

peace and security, and keep me and my sons

away from worshipping idols

عبد آمنا وإجنبن وبن أن ن رب إجعل هـذإ إلبل أ

إلصنام


Rabbij-‘al haazal-balada ‘aaminan wajnubnee

wa baniyya ‘an na’budal-‘asnaam


(Ibrahim 14:40)

O my Lord! Make me one who performs As-

Salât (Iqâmat-as-Salât), and (also) from my

offspring, our Lord! And accept my invocation

نا وتقبل ت رب ي الة ومن ذر رب إجعلن مقي إلص

دعاء


Rabbij-‘alnee muqeemas-Salaati wa min

zurriyyatee; Rabbanaa wa taqabbal du’aaa’


(Ibrahim 14:41)

Our Lord! Forgive me and my parents, and (all)

the believers on the Day when the reckoning will

be established

ي وللمؤمني يوم يقوم إلحساب نا إغفر ل ولوإدل رب


Rabbanagh-fir lee wa liwaalidayya wa

lilmu’mineena yawma yaqoomul-hisaab


(Al-Isra 17:80)

My Lord! Let my entry (to the city of Al-Madinah) be

good, and likewise my exit (from the city of Makkah)

be good. And grant me from You an authority to help

me (or a firm sign or a proof)

ب أدخلن مدخل صدق وأخرجن مخرج صدق ر

صريإ نك سلطان ن وإجعل ل من دل


Rabbi ‘adkhilnee mudkhala sidqin wa ‘akhrijnee

mukhraja sidqin waj’al lee mil-ladunka sultaanan

naseeraa


(Al-Kahf 18:10)

Our Lord! Bestow on us mercy from Yourself,

and facilitate for us our affair in the right way!

لنا من أمرن رشدإ ة وهي نك رح آتنا من دل نا أ رب


Rabbanaaa ‘aatinaa mil-ladunka rahmatan wa

hayyi’ lanaa min ‘amrinaa rashadaa


(Ta-Ha 20:25-28)

O my Lord! Open for me my chest (grant me self-confidence,

contentment, and boldness). And ease my task for me. And

make loose the knot (the defect) from my tongue, (i.e. remove

the incorrectness from my speech) That they understand my

speech

ل صدري ر ب إ

ل أمري ويس

ن ل سان وإحلل عقدة م

يفقهوإ قول


Rabbish-rah lee sadree. Wa yassir leee ‘amree.

Wahlul ‘uqdatam-mil-lisaanee. Yafqahoo

qawlee.


(Ta-Ha 20:114)

My Lord! Increase me in knowledge

ب زدن علما ر


Rabbi zidnee ‘ilmaa


(Al-Anbiya 21:87)

Lâ ilâha illa Anta [none has the right to be worshipped

but You (O Allâh)], Glorified (and Exalted) are You

[above all that (evil) they associate with You]. Truly, I

have been of the wrong-doers

المي ن كنت من إلظبحانك إ ال أنت س

ل إ

ال إ


‘Laaa ‘ilaaha ‘illaaa ‘Anta Subhaanaka ‘innee

kuntu minaz-zaalimeen


(Al-Anbiya 21:89)

O My Lord! Leave me not single (childless),

though You are the Best of the inheritors

رب ال تذرن فردإ وأنت خري إلوإرثي


Rabbi laa tazarnee fardan wa ‘Anta khayrul-

waariseen


(Al-Mu'minun 23:93)

My Lord! If You would show me that with which

they are threatened (torment)

ا ترين ما يوعدون مب إ ر


Rabbi ‘immaa turiyannee maa yoo’adoon


(Al-Mu'minun 23:94)

My Lord! Then (save me from Your Punishment),

and put me not amongst the people who are the

Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doing)

المي علن ف إلقوم إلظ رب فال ت


Rabbi falaa taj’alnee fil-qawmiz-zaalimeen


(Al-Mu'minun 23:97-98)

My Lord! I seek refuge with You from the

whisperings (suggestions) of the Shayâtin

(devils). And I seek refuge with You, My Lord!

lest they may attend (or come near) me

ياطي ب أعوذ بك من هزإت إلش ر

ون ض وأعوذ بك رب أن ي


Rabbi ‘a’oozu bika min hamazaatish-

Shayaateen. Wa ‘a’oozu bika Rabbi ‘an

yahduroon.


(Al-Mu'minun 23:109)

Our Lord! We believe, so forgive us, and have

mercy on us, for You are the Best of all who

show mercy!

ي إح نا وأنت خري إلر آمنا فاغفر لنا وإرح نا أ رب


Rabbanaaa ‘aamannaa faghfir lanaa

warhamnaa wa ‘Anta khayrur-raahimeen


(Al-Mu'minun 23:118)

My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, for You are

the Best of those who show mercy!

ي إح ب إغفر وإرحم وأنت خري إلر ر


Rabbigh-fir warham wa ‘Anta khayrur-raahimeen


(Al-Furqan 25:65-66)

Our Lord! Avert from us the torment of Hell.

Verily! Its torment is ever an inseparable,

permanent punishment. Evil indeed it (Hell) is as

an abode and as a place to dwell

ن عذإبا كن غرإما إ نا إصف عنا عذإب جن رب

إ ومقاما تقر ا ساءت مس ن إ


Rabbanas-rif ‘annaa ‘azaaba Jahannama ‘inna

‘azaabahaa kaana gharaamaa. Innahaa saaa’at

mustaqarran wa muqaamaa


(Al-Furqan 25:74)

Our Lord! Bestow on us from our wives and our

offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes,

and make us leaders for the Muttaqûn

ة أعي وإجعلنا تنا قر ي نا هب لنا من أزوإجنا وذر رب

ماما للمتقي إ


Rabbanaa hab lanaa min ‘azwaajinaa wa

zurriyyaatinaa qurrata ‘a’yunin waj’alnaa

lilmuttaqeena ‘Imaamaa


(Ash-Shu'ara 26:83-85)

My Lord! Bestow Hukman (religious knowledge, right judgement of the

affairs and Prophethood) on me, and join me with the righteous. And

grant me an honourable mention in later generations; And make me

one of the inheritors of the Paradise of Delight;

الحي رب هب ل حكا وألحقن بلص

وإجعل ل لسان صدق ف إلآخرين

وإجعلن من ورثة جنة إلنعي


Rabbi hab lee hukman wa ‘alhiqnee bissaaliheen. Waj’al

lee lisaana sidqin fil-‘aakhireen. Waj’alnee min warasati

Jannatin-Na’eem


(An-Naml 27:19)

My Lord! Inspire and bestow upon me the power and ability that

I may be grateful for Your Favours which You have bestowed on

me and on my parents, and that I may do righteous good deeds

that will please You, and admit me by Your Mercy among Your

righteous slaves

ت أنعمت عل وعل رب أوزعن أن أشكر نعمتك إل

تك ف ل صالحا ترضاه وأدخلن برح ي وأن أع وإدل

الحي عبادك إلص


Rabbi ‘awzi’neee ‘an ‘ashkura ni’matakal-lateee ‘an’amta

‘alayya wa ‘alaa waalidayya wa ‘an ‘a’mala saalihan tardaahu

wa ‘adkhilnee birahmatika fee ‘ibaadikas-saaliheen


(Al-Qasas 28:16)

My Lord! Verily, I have wronged myself, so

forgive me

ن ظلمت نفس فاغفر ل رب إ


Rabbi ‘innee zalamtu nafsee faghfir lee


(Al-Qasas 28:17)

My Lord! For that with which You have favoured

me, I will never more be a helper for the

Mujrimûn (criminals, disobedient to Allâh,

polytheists, sinners, etc.)

رب بما أنعمت عل فلن أكون ظهريإ ل لمجرمي


Rabbi bimaaa ‘an’amta ‘alayya falan ‘akoona

zaheeral-lilmujrimeen


(Al-Qasas 28:21)

My Lord! Save me from the people who are

Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers)!

المي ن من إلقوم إلظ رب ن


Rabbi najjinee minal-qawmiz-zaalimeen


(Al-Qasas 28:24)

My Lord! Truly, I am in need of whatever good

that You bestow on me!

ل من خري فقري ن لما أنزلت إ

رب إ


Rabbi ‘innee limaaa ‘amzalta ‘ilayya min khayrin

faqeer


(Al-'Ankabut 29:30)

My Lord! Give me victory over the people who are

Mufsidûn (those who commit great crimes and sins,

oppressors, tyrants, mischief-makers, corrupts)

ن عل إلقوم إلمفسدين رب إنص


Rabbiin-surnee ‘alal-qawmil-mufsideen


(As-Saffat 37:100)

My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous

الحي رب هب ل من إلص


Rabbi hab lee minas-saaliheen


(Ghafir 40:7)

Our Lord! You comprehend all things in mercy

and knowledge, so forgive those who repent and

follow Your Way, and save them from

the torment of the blazing Fire!

ين تبوإ ة وعلما فاغفر لل ح ء ر نا وسعت ك ش رب

بعوإ سبيل وقهم عذإب إلجحي وإت


Rabbanaa wasi’ta kulla shay’ir-rahmatan wa

‘ilman faghfir lillazeena taaboo wattaba’oo

sabeelaka waqihim ‘azaabal-Jaheem


(Ghafir 40:8)

Our Lord! And make them enter the 'Adn (Eden)

Paradise (everlasting Gardens) which you have

promised them, and to the righteous among their

fathers, their wives, and their offspring! Verily, You

are the All-Mighty, the All-Wise

م آبئ م ومن صلح من أ ت وعدت نا وأدخلهم جنات عدن إل رب

ك أنت إلعزيز إلحكي نم إ ت ي م وذر وأزوإج


Rabbanaa wa ‘adkhilhum Jannaati ‘Adninil-latee

wa’attahum wa man salaha min ‘aabaaa’ihim wa

‘azwaajihim wa zurriyyaatihim;

‘innaka ‘Antal-‘Azeezul-Hakeem


(Ghafir 40:9)

And save them from (the punishment, because of

what they did of) the sins, and whomsoever You

save from (the punishment, because of what they

did of) the sins (i.e. excuse them) that Day, him

verily, You have taken into mercy." And that is the

supreme success

ته ي ئات يومئذ فقد رح ي ئات ومن تق إلس وقهم إلس

وذل هو إلفوز إلعظي


Waqihimus-sayyi’aat; wa man taqis-sayyi’aati

Yawma’izin faqad rahimtah; wa zaalika huwal-

fawzul-‘azeem


(Ad-Dukhan 44:12)

Our Lord! Remove the torment from us, really

we shall become believers!

ن مؤمنون نا إكشف عنا إلعذإب إ رب


Rabbanak-shif ‘annal-‘azaaba ‘innaa mu’minoon


(Al-Ahqaf 46:15)

My Lord! Grant me the power and ability that I may be grateful

for Your Favour which You have bestowed upon me and upon

my parents, and that I may do righteous good deeds, such as

please You, and make my off-spring good. Truly, I have turned to

You in repentance, and truly, I am one of the Muslims (submitting

to Your Will)

ي ت أنعمت عل وعل وإدل رب أوزعن أن أشكر نعمتك إل

ليك ن تبت إ

ت إ ي ل صالحا ترضاه وأصلح ل ف ذر وأن أع

ن من إلمسلمي وإ


Rabbi ‘awzi’neee ‘an ‘ashkura ni’matakal-lateee ‘an’amta

‘alayya wa ‘alaa waalidayya wa ‘an ‘a’mala saalihan

tardaahu wa ‘aslih lee fee zurriyyateee ‘innee tubtu ‘ilayka

wa ‘innee minal-muslimeen


(Al-Hashr 59:10)

Our Lord! Forgive us and our brethren who have

preceded us in Faith, and put not in our hearts

any hatred against those who have believed.

Our Lord! You are indeed full of kindness, Most

Merciful

عل ميان وال تبقون بال ين س خوإننا إل

نا إغفر لنا وال رب

حي ك رؤوف ر ننا إ آمنوإ رب ين أ ف قلوبنا غال ل ل


Rabbanagh-fir lanaa wa li’ikhwaaninal-lazeena

sabaqoonaa bil’eemaani wa laa taj’alfee

quloobinaa ghillal-lillazeena ‘aamanoo

Rabbanaaa ‘innaka Ra’oofur-Raheem


(Al-Mumtahinah 60:4)

Our Lord! In You (Alone) we put our trust, and to

You (Alone) we turn in repentance, and to You

(Alone) is (our) final Return

ليك إلمصري ليك أنبنا وإ

نا وإ نا عليك توك ب ر


Rabbanaa ‘alayka tawakkalnaa wa ‘ilayka

‘anabnaa wa ‘ilaykal-maseer


(Al-Mumtahinah 60:5)

Our Lord! Make us not a trial for the disbelievers,

and forgive us, Our Lord! Verily, You, only You

are the All-Mighty, the All-Wise

ك أنت ننا إ ين كفروإ وإغفر لنا رب علنا فتنة ل ل نا ال ت رب

إلعزيز إلحكي


Rabbanaa laa taj’alnaa fitnatal-lillazeena kafaroo

waghfir lanaa Rabbanaaa ‘innaka ‘Antal-

‘Azeezul-Hakeem


(At-Tahrim 66:8)

Our Lord! Keep perfect our Light for us [and do

not put it off till we cross over the Sirât (a

slippery bridge over the Hell) safely] and grant

us forgiveness. Verily, You are Able to do all

things

ء قدير ك عل ك ش ننا أتمم لنا نورن وإغفر لناإ رب


Rabbanaaa ‘atmim lanaa nooranaa waghfir

lanaaa ‘innaka ‘alaa kulli shay’in Qadeer


(Nuh 71:28)

My Lord! Forgive me, and my parents, and him

who enters my home as a believer, and all the

believing men and women. And to the Zâlimûn

(polytheists, wrong-doers, and disbelievers, etc.)

grant You no increase but destruction!

ي ولمن دخل بيت مؤمناوللمؤمني رب إغفر ل ولوإدل

ال تبارإالمي إ وإلمؤمنات وال تزد إلظ


Rabbigh-fir lee wa li waalidayya wa liman

dakhala baytiya mu’minan wa lil mu’mineena wal
