Sunway Paving Solutions Sdn Bhd (formerly known

as Sun-Block Sdn Bhd) is a wholly-owned subsidiary

STEP 1: A prepared concrete base.

SCREED

STEP 2: Wet cement mortar bedding of 20mm to 30mm to be laid on the concrete base to receive Eurotiles.

STEP 5: Pavement is completed.

CEMENT MORTAR METHOD SAND BEDDING METHOD

STEP 4: Eurotiles is then placed on the top of wet cement mortar bedding.

STEP 3: Sprinkle dry cement on the surface of the wet cement mortar bedding before placing Eurotiles.

STEP 1: A well compacted crusher-run base is required.

BEDDING

STEP 2: A 30mm well compacted sand bedding is then laid on the crusher-run base.

STEP 5: Pavement is completed.

STEP 4: Fine sand is then spread on top of the pavement and swept into the joints.

STEP 3: Eurotiles is then placed on the top of the compacted sand bedding.

SPECIFICATIONS

These specifications set out the requirements for compressed concrete paving slabs. They are recommended for use in public areas which are subject to pedestrian and light vehicular traffic.

pHysiCal pRopERtiEs• tolerances The tolerance of any single paving slab shall be

• length and width The length and width of any single paving slab shall be

within 1.5mm of the specified dimensions

INSTALLATION METHOD

• Colour The colour configuration shall conform as close as

practicable to the “sample batch” colour

• transverse strength The minimum 28 days transverse strength shall be 4N/mm2

• water absorption Water absorption on paving slab surface shall be less than

0.4g/cm2, while total absorption shall be less than 8%• Compressive strength 45 MPA (Tested on 100mm X 100mm X 40mm cut sample)• skid Resistance - 65 (Except for Tofana Series)

EFFLORESCENCE (Secondary)

This superficial phenomenon is commonly found in most concrete-based or cementitous products. However, this efflorescenceeffectwilldisappearovertime(weathering)wherebyrainusuallywashestheefflorescenceawayinabout six months to a year and in the worst scenario could take two years.

Basecourse thickness is subject to soil investigation that includes CBR soil test, sub-base and subgrade soil conditions and consultant’s recommendation.
