SUMMER SCHOOL 2016 UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT OF DE PERE

Dear Parents/Guardians: Welcome to another exciting summer of learning! It is a pleasure to share with you the specifics of our 2016 Summer School Program. Due to construction and roof repairs at several buildings, our program will be housed at two new school locations: Dickinson Elementary and Foxview Intermediate, as well as at the High School. Pre-K through Grade 2 classes will be held at Dickinson and Grades 3-8 courses at Foxview. The new High School For-Credit courses, Speed and Strength program, ACT prep,

Getting Ready for 4K, baseball, gymnastics, soccer, basketball, and show choir will be at the high school. There is no transportation between classes during Sessions A and B. In planning for our 2016 program, we reviewed interests and successes of the courses presented in previous summer programs as well as took into account parent requests and feedback. Based on this feedback, the most significant change to our program is that it will end on July 1

st, except for Speed and Strength and high school credit courses.

Additionally, we have moved the start of the day to 8:00 a.m. instead of 8:30 a.m. to better accommodate parent needs relative to their work schedules. Another significant program change relates to fees. Only classes that require special materials will have a fee. There is no registration fee per class as in previous years. So, when you register your child(ren) online, you might not be required to enter payment information. We will continue to use the online registration process. Our goal is to provide you with an efficient, secure way to

register your child(ren) online. PLEASE REVIEW THE REGISTRATION PROCEDURES ON THE NEXT PAGE OF THE SUMMER SCHOOL BOOKLET. Please keep this booklet available as a

reference while summer school is in session. The booklet can also be found online at www.depere.k12.wi.us. Thank you for considering the De Pere Summer School Program. We will do our best to serve student needs. If you have questions, please call Kerry Guyette, summer school secretary, at De Pere High School at 983-9174, ext. 4013.

REGISTRATION BEGINS TUESDAY, APRIL 12
