Camp College takes over the Mercer County College campus each sum-mer, providing fun-filled camp

experiences to campers between ages 6 and 16. This camp offers two 4-week sessions during the summer. For each session, campers choose six courses from a list of nearly 100 that includes activities such as painting, archery, sew-ing, jewelry making, cheerleading, and paper mache. Kids come to their selected courses Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., but Friday Fun Days and before- and after-camp care are available. Camp College also offers weeklong specialty camp programs that meet Monday-Friday. Specialty camps allow kids to explore unique areas and activities such as marine biol-ogy, archaeology, aviation, culinary arts, fishing, golf, and rock climbing.

Cherokee Day Camp welcomes campers between ages 2 and 12 to

join in on the fun from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. this summer. Extended-hour programs and transpor-tation to and from camp are

available. Older campers, ages 13-15, can apply for

positions as camp counsel-ors in training (CIT), in which

they assist the senior coun-selors and act as role models for the younger campers. Kids participate in a range of sched-uled activities that change each week—and with swim time and zip lines and hours of playing outdoors, campers will never be bored.

The Boys and Girls Club of Mercer County offers a few summer camp programs for campers of various ages. All programs at both locations run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. There is a kids camp at both locations where kids engage in fun activities, such as swimming, sports, and crafts, and even go on a weekly field trip. Camp GO at Village Charter for female campers ages 8-14 allows girls to engage in activities designed to boost self-esteem and promote healthy habits and smart choices. Teen Travel at Centre Street for ages 11-15 brings teen campers on various trips in which they engage in com-munity service projects, life skills training, team building, public speaking, and more. Finally, Last Blast at Centre Street invites campers ages 5-15 for two final weeks of fun trips and activities before school starts again.

Bucks County Community College is home to Kids on Campus, which offers week-

long specialty programs throughout the summer for campers ages 5-13. Each week, campers can choose from a handful of courses with topics, such as study skills, art, cooking, robotics, CSI, and various sports and exercise activities. Campers can even spend their summer preparing for their dream career or college through academic courses in topics such as 3D animation programming, psychology, video production, and even SAT preparation. Courses run from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., but extended-hour programs are available.
