Objectives of the study

• To document and analyse the challenges of recruiting and retaining of professionals in the health sector – Creating places where people want to work

– Recruiting young people; retaining the ageing workforce

– Recruiting to underserved areas, and less popular practices

• To review possible future interventions on R&R

• Contributes to the successful implementation of the EU Health Action Plan at country level

Output of the study - 1 report including:

• An overview of recruitment and retention practices in the EU Member States, the EFTA countries and 3 non-EU countries (Brazil, South-Africa and Australia)

• In-depth analysis on how successful practices were implemented and what contextual factors facilitated or hampered their success

• Policy and management recommendations

• Start: January 2014 | Delivery: March 2015
