Firstly, single-session schools benefit the students in many different ways. According to a research, students in single-session schools have longer attention span compared to the rest as they have fresher minds. Besides, their academic performance is greatly enhanced. This is because they have more time doing extra studies. Other than that, teachers would have more time after school hours to conduct extra coaching classes for those who are weak in their studies. Moreover, students would have time for pursuing their hobbies and passions. For instance, music lessons, piano lessons, dance classes, so on and so forth. They have more time for recreational activities and sports. These activities keep one fits and sharpens one’s mind. As the saying goes, “all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”. The students can even have more time to spend with parents at night as they are occupied during the day. Furthermore, they would not bring stress and troubles to the parents due to transportation problem to school. All in all, these benefits create a mentally, physically balanced individual.

Double session schools are better than single-session schools. It is suggested because of the reason that it is convenient for the students and teachers. They could use the school resources and facilities such as field, lab, toilet, library, hall, canteen and so on as they do not need to spend a lot of time to wait to using them. Double session schools are better as the number of student is less than single-session schools. This is because the school splits the number of students into two sessions. Therefore, they don’t need to spend much time in queue up for buying food and looking for a seat to have their meals. Thus, students will be able to finish their meal and enter into the classroom on time. They also wouldn’t be scolded by teacher. The teaching plan will not be dragged so teacher and students can work effectively and efficiency.

I do not agree with single-session schools are better than double-session schools. This is because Malaysia is not a develop country like Japan, United States and etc, our government has resources concern. There is limited budget for government to build adequate number of classroom in every single schools. Therefore, government can’t afford to apply single-session in every school. On the other hand, our school will facing excessive number of teacher if applied single-session. In this case, it may cause a lot of teachers losing their job and the unemployment rate within Malaysia will be high. Because of limited budget and excessive number of teachers, our government can’t apply single-session school.

Lastly, double-session schools are better than single-session schools because it can allocate more students. When this happened, the school authorities can collect more funds from the students. With the extra funds that school have, they are able to maintain and build more facilities like toilet, music and computer rooms to the students. This provides the students a more comfortable learning environment. Besides, the surplus money can also be used as scholarship for those who are in poverty and well-performance students, motivate them to excel academically. Moreover, charity works can also be done for the orphanage. This can also help to upgrade the school reputations.
