The Symbol of the USA

On June 20, 1782 bald eagle officially became known as the national symbol of the United States of America.

The USA Emblem

• The continental Congress after a six-year fierce debate, voted to modern image of the state emblem of this country - the Great seal.

• In the center of the coat of arms depicts an eagle with outstretched wings, which holds in his beak a scroll with the inscription in Latin: «E Pluribus Unum», which can be translated as «out of many - one»

Something about the Eagle

Large bird of prey length about 76-81 see and a wingspan of about 203 cm. Females are much larger, their weight in the average of 5.4 kg, whereas males have only 4.1 kg.

The Birds’ Flight

The Habitat of the Eagle

What the Eagle Eats

A bird of prey ,preys mainly on aquatic animals, fish and small aquatic birds. In addition, the use in food of reptiles, amphibians, crustaceans, small mammals and invertebrates. Sometimes eat carrion, including the fallen livestock.
