Presentation Notes
Sekhar:   I wanted to share some findings from an analysis by Abe regarding student class-taking and dropping behavior.  Here is what he concluded:   -Preliminary reviews of this data using various course- and student-attribute filters suggest that students simply enroll when courses are offered. In other words, the temporal distribution of seats filled is similar to that of seats offered.   -There do not appear to be major differences between different demographic subsets of the student population in regards to the days and times they enroll in courses.   -There do not appear to be major differences between the temporal distribution of filled seats at the start of the semester versus the end. In other words, students do not appear to be more likely to drop or add courses on certain days or at certain times than others.   -Mark
