Home study activitySing Let’s Play with your child. Take turns singing both parts. Have your child find a ball and a jump rope in your house. Suggest that you and your child play outside, saying Let’s play. Then encourage your child to agree and choose what to do. Have your child say OK. Let’s play (ball). When you have finished playing ball, ask your child to suggest another activity, saying Let’s (jump rope).

Help your child find a small writing board at home and put it on a table. Say to your child Point to the board. Then have your child give you instructions.

Then your child will say I can (ride a bicycle.) and you will say I can’t (ride a bicycle). Switch roles so you say I can (sing a song). and your child says I can’t (sing a song). Now sing Let’s Play with your child. Say Let’s play. and encourage your child to say Ok. Let’s (play ball). Have your child bounce the ball and say I can bounce a ball.
