Learning the meaning of words from the context of your reading material can be the most useful strategy to increase your vocabulary comprehension.

Context Clues are hints that an author gives to help define a difficult or unusual word.

When you use visual-aural association, you think of a word that either looks like or sounds like the word whose meaning you are trying to learn.

**Since the word gregarious is hard to memorize, you just think of the word HILARIOUS for you to remember the word and its meaning. Because Gregarious and Hilarious sounds alike.
