Ford's cuts are coming - we will be there to Stop the Cuts!
Ford failed to pass many of his brutal cuts through the Ford failed to pass many of his brutal cuts through the Core Services Review, but none of these cuts have been defeated. Not only are these cuts still on the table, all city agencies and departments are still facing a 10% budget cut. This means major cuts to services, layoffs and privatization of public assets. All these cuts will be debated in November and Decem-ber and voted on by City Council on January 17, 18 ber and voted on by City Council on January 17, 18 and 19th. Stop the Cuts will be there to fight Ford
every step of the way!
Our plan:
The next 3 months are crucial. We will be working to build on our existing neighbourhood committees and form new ones across the city. Throughout October, November and December, these committees will work to mobilize their communities. People will come to-gether to confront local councillors and to fight
against cuts coming down in their neighbourhood. In January, as council prepares to pass these cuts, January, as council prepares to pass these cuts, neighbourhoods will unite for city-wide actions and demonstrations to confront council and Stop the Cuts!
