Archimedes Bay Meadows Crunchkin

With a maturity of 85 days, Crunchkin is an excellent, early ornamental hard-shell type with improved shipping durability and extended storage capability. This pumpkin offers large productive vines and high yields. Trimming the stems is suggested for easier packing.

With a maturity of 68 to 85 days, Bay Meadows can be used for early or mid summer harvests. This variety is categorized by its medium size, wide, dome-shaped head with a � ne bead size and nicely shaped stems with little trim. The heads average 6½ inches and fare well in heat. Uses range from crown cuts to bunching. Bay Meadows has a large open plant.

Archimedes is a blocky 4 by 4½ inch, three- to four-lobed, green-to-red bell pepper. An Anthocyanless (no streaks) fruit, it matures in 76 days and is tolerant to bacterial leaf spot races 1-3, potato virus Y, and some Phytophthora.

Gourmet Sweet is a white sweet corn similar to Awesome in its characteristics and matures in 74 days. The dark-green husks give the 8¼ inches cylindrical ears good cover. With a well-� lled blunt tip, this sweet corn variety snaps easily and features 16 to 20 straight rows. Complete with exceptional taste, this variety is a pleasure to grow.

With 76 days to maturity, Declaration is very high in sugar (12% Brix), features red � esh, oval fruit, and has a green rind with medium-dark stripes. Weighing in at 16 to 18 pounds, this watermelon has excellent internal quality.

An F1 hybrid, this 9- to 11-inch carrot has smooth roots, is uniform in shape, and tapers to a semi-blunt tip. It maintains uniformity under varying populations. CR2289 should be used as a cello/jumbo on muck or mineral soils. With excellent tops and high yield potential, this variety stores like Envy.

Pay Dirt Trekker Wyatt

A dark-green 5.7-inch bean with four sieve pods, Wyatt plants have an excellent bacterial disease tolerance to common bean mosaic virus, halo blight, brown spot, curly top, and common blight. Wyatt matures in 54 days.

Trekker has uniform, globe-shaped, extra-� rm bulbs, and dark skin. It is slow to bolt and stores until May under optimum conditions. It has a strong tolerance to basal rot and neck rot. Storage capabilities and � rm skin provide for good pack out and shipping. It can be sold from the � eld or stored long term. This variety matures in 100 days. Pellets are available.

This bicolor synergistic sweet corn has good cold soil emergence and improved tolerances to common rust and Stewart’s wilt. The ears average 8½ inches and generally have 14 to 16 rows, protected by good tip cover. Pay Dirt matures in 70 days and has great taste.
