PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

GE, Various Locations 2015 – PresentSite ManagerRepresent General Electric in American Electric Power construction sites. Supervise SCADA construction projects and contractors. Provide guidance and construction support in the field. Serve as safety manager and kick off each day with a safety meeting. Provide daily site report and report construction progress to home office.

ABB GROUP, Napa, CA 2014 – 2015Senior Project Manager / Project Engineer / Site ManagerInterfaced with engineering department, contractors and site managers to procure resources and successfully complete 24 SCADA construction sites for Pacific Gas and Electric Company. Served as primary contact for all project-related matters. Optimized overall resource planning and utilization by watching cost and material lead time. Prevented material loss and erroneous billings by managing, tracking and receiving material

orders. Reduced construction time, which prevented construction errors and operation date delay, by

participating in quality improvement process initiative. Achieved project success by working with others in professional manner and motivating teams

to create positive environment.

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON, Pomona, CA 2008 – 2012Electrical Engineer / Protection Engineering Department 2010 – 2012Performed engineering analysis and recommendations for fuse requests, bus outages and bus differential solid operation requests. Improved reliability and protection by setting and issuing DPU-2000R, D60 and F35 relay

settings for B substations. Analyzed data, resolved issues and made recommendations for field engineers and field

operators, which led to finishing work accurately prior to deadlines.Electrical Engineer / Substation Engineering Department 2008 – 2010Designed various infrastructure replacement projects involving surge arresters, circuit breakers, potential transformers, disconnect switches and cables. Promoted to Engineer 2. Trained, mentored and led team of new engineers designing new B Bank substation. Prevented delay of substation operation dates by recommending redesign of cable schedule

and bill of material (BOM) software, making new design readable and usable for field crews. Streamlined operations and reduced costs by reviewing standards on battery racks, battery and

battery room. Conformed design to latest standards by applying engineering standards including NEC, NESC,

NEMA, IEEE, ANSI, EDSL and EDS. Met design production goals on time by designing and issuing multiple new B Bank substations,

including substation physical and electrical layouts for Fogarty, Tenaja, Coso, Triton and Acton substations.

POWER ENGINEERS, INC., Anaheim, CA 2008Electrical Engineer II / Substation Design Designed substations for Southern California Edison and Pacific Corp as engineering consultant, including physical layouts of substations, specifically Tulare and Beverly Hills substations. Familiarized with Southern California Edison standards, including electrical construction station,

electrical design station and other Southern California Edison processes.

PACIFIC GAS AND ELECTRIC COMPANY, Fresno, CA 2007 – 2008Design Engineer / Substation DesignDesigned both indoor and outdoor layouts of substations on emergency time frame using MicroStation software. Created replacement and installation of new relays, distribution line structures, cables,

reclosing blocking scheme and potential transformers in substations, meeting job scope requirements.

TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY, Chattanooga, TN 2004 – 2007Electrical Engineer Level A / Substation DesignDesigned physical layouts of substations, including general arrangement, foundation, switch rack, grounding, conduit, lighting, switch house and fencing drawings, using AutoCAD. Coordinated projects with various departments from procurement, fields, contract projects, civil engineering and protection and control. Developed standard 161kV, 45-90 MVAR fuseless capacitor bank design, helping supervisor

become TVA Engineer of the Year and one of the finalists for Federal Engineer of the Year. Met new environment regulations by developing lighting standard using visual software,

simulating how lights performed in actual environment.
