YOUR SON’S CHECKLIST1. Junior Meeting with School Counselor
2. ACT Registration - Take an ACT by the spring of Junior year.
3. ACT Prep Classes –Enroll in prep classes at school or other organizations if possible to boost ACT score.
4. College Search – Use Naviance to begin your college searching process and begin narrowing your search in the second semester of your Junior year.
5. Career Search – Use Naviance Career Interest Profiler to begin the process of nailing down a potential college major.
6. College Visits – Use the summer between your Junior and Senior year to visit potential colleges that are high on your list and get onto campuses.
ACT What is the ACT?
The ACT is a national college admissions examination that consists of subject area tests in: English, Math, Reading & Science. The ACT measures high school achievement and college readiness.
Test Dates There is one testing date offered in the following months:
September, October, December, February, April and June. Cost
