“The Jesus Method”
I’m always amazed when I see a person give their heart to our Lord. This is, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the greatest of all miracles. However, we have a far greater responsibility than just reaching the individual with the New Birth Message.
Our purpose statement says that we are to Reach Up in worship, Reach In in discipleship and to Reach Out in evangelism. We are further commanded in Scripture to make disciples of all people. So our responsibility is to “get the person saved” and “keep the person saved”. In keeping that person saved we are to instruct him or her to go out and reach another person with the gospel message of salvation, thus repeating the cycle in another’s life. (II Timothy 2:2)
Our process of growing disciples is the same as explained by Jesus in the gospel of Matthew chapter 28, verses 19-20.
The process is shown in this publication. Also, our purpose statement is combined with the three priorities of a Christian; God, the family of God, the work of God. We are to Reach Up to God in personal worship and devotion - Reach In in discipleship and personal growth - Reach Out to others who are in our community. We point the people toward God, and the process is repeated again - and again - and again. The goal is the multiplication of disciples.
We welcome you to God’s big family. We are here to help and if in any way we can better serve you, please take the liberty to let us know. Again, welcome to the family of God.
Yours in His service,
Pastor Roy & Lois Grant
