K - Kw ik- Bridge Punch System

Product Applicat ion

Kwik-br idge punch system is a unique patented design that

incorporates a t ab into the punchout of the stud, result ing in

a clean connect ion and reduced labor. The kwik-br idge punch

system elim inates ex t ra component s required in t radit ional

br idging installat ion and can be used with regular cold roll channel.

The cold roll channel is installed through the stud punchout s

perpendicular to the fram ing and at pre-determ ined spacing along

the height of the wall. Once the channel is posit ioned hor izontally

within the wall cavit y, a m ethod of secur ing the channel to each

individual stud will be selected according to the design cr iter ia for

the assembly.

Typically, posit ive at t achm ent is achieved through welding

or by using angle clips and screws. The kwik-br idge punch

system ser ves as an alternat ive m ethod of achieving posit ive

at t achm ent of t he cold rolled channel t o the steel stud. Patent

No. 5943838

Features and Benefit s

• Elim inates use of clip angles, br idging clips, and welding

• No pre- determ ined stud layout required

• Faster inst allat ion saving up to 40% in com bined labor and

m ater ial cost s

• Bend t abs to 90° and at t ach cold roll channel
