Catholic Life Raffle

Every year, Catholic Life Insurance Company sponsors a raffle in which all the proceeds are given to the schools. That means that for every ticket our parents sell, St. Pius X Catholic School will receive $5.00.

Per our Handbook, all families need to sell at least $100 worth of Catholic Life Raffle tickets. It’s easy to sell these tickets, all students are allowed to sell tickets after the St. Pius X weekend masses.

Also, every school is guaranteed to have a $1000 winner that will be drawn from our tickets, plus you have the potential to win the Grand Prize of a new Ford F-150 Truck or a new Ford Focus or a $20,000 Prepaid VISA Credit Card.

Thank you for your support!

Food symbolizes our gratitude to God

Food is a symbol of our gratitude to God and our

mutual appreciation for one another. It is a commodity

to share as well as an expression of how much we

care. Feeding the hungry is a virtue that must never

be forgotten, dining with friends a value we cherish all

the more. It is good to celebrate those moments—rare

as they may be—where companionship around the

table becomes a form of communion, where fantastic

food seals friendships, where our vitality and our

spirituality truly “wine and dine” together.

—from the book Table of Plenty: Good Food for Body and Spirit

Our PreK-4 students watched a Charlie Brown movie and ate the same foods that Snoopy served Charlie Brown: butter sand-wiches, pretzel sticks, pop-corn and jelly beans. Then they got real Turkey feathers and stuck then in their bonnets and pilgrim hats. They took a sweet picture and a silly picture on the playground. Thanks PreK-4 parents!

Our Middle School students created their own “Be Thankful” Bulletin Board. They are thankful for: God, family, freedom, parents, knowledge, friends, coaches, pets, shelter, faith, school, and many more.

Our 3rd grade students listened to the story of the first Thanksgiving and made

hats. The Pilgrims and Indians then came together for a FEAST!

Thank you to our amazing parent volun-teers! Our children are truly blessed.

NJHS Service Project Ms. Stanbridge, our current NJHS members, along with a few prospective members, and

several parents volunteered at the La Vernia Food Pantry last weekend.

In order to be considered for induction into the NJHS, a middle school student must first

have an 90 overall academic average, and no 9 week grade below an 90. The NJHS

Faculty Council, composed of various faculty members, evaluate the students based on their

demonstrated leadership skills, character, service, and citizenship, and invite certain students to join the NJHS.

NJHS inductees have numerous opportunities to

serve others through society projects. Students who aspire to NJHS should consult with the NJHS

faculty advisor for guidance. For more

information, parents and students are encouraged to contact the NJHS Sponsor.

Thank you!

On November 12 the Catholic Daughters of Americas, Court Our Lady of Knock #2652 met with the St. Pius X Catholic School's Student Counsel and Junior National Honor Society. There were six (6) CDA members and twelve (12) school kids sorting and counting all the socks and undergarments donated by you, our parishioners, for the homeless. We received 1,133 socks, 753 underwear, and 39 t-shirts.

What an AWESOME show of support! We filled four 55 gallon trash cans and one 15 gallon bag. The items were split between our St Vincent De Paul Food Pantry, Haven for Hope, Children's Shelter and SAMM Ministries. Thank you for your help, prayers, and generosity!! We plan to hold this event again next November. If you would like to learn more about the Catholic Daughters of America join us for a monthly meeting on Wednesday, November 28, at 6:30 PM in Rooms 119/120 in the Family Center.
