The Facts! Anyone can be involved in theater-not just majors.

Theater rehearsal time doesnʼt conflict with any major musical organizations. Rehearsals generally are five nights a week for four to six weeks before a show opens.

Be Involved! Audition for an acting role. Production work is available in scenery, properties, costumes, lighting, sound or publicity. Students that work on productions can earn a .25 course credit. Student work is also available in the Theater department.

We have five productions a year. One is usually a student directed production. We also have a One Act Play Festival where upper level students direct.

20 Student Design Positions are available every year in all production areas, as well as some assistant positions.

DeepEnd is a student run theater organization that performs and sponsors several student productions throughout the year.

Alpha Psi Omega (Zeta Mu chapter) of The National Theater Honor Society focuses on service projects on campus and in the community.

Opportunities in the Theater Department: Internships or independent study. Opportunities to work with theater professionals including actors, directors, designers & playwrights. Study abroad with the interim course - Theater in London.
