    Allen first meeting

LOUIS HISTORICAL NOTES The last two games between these clubs here at Scottrade Center have been two of the 15 in Flyers history that have remainedscoreless through regulation and overtime, and two of six to happen since the onset of the shootout in 2005. The Flyers played their first-ever playoff series against St. Louis back in 1968. They lost that series 4 games to 3, and then lost to theBlues again 4-0 the following year, also in the quarterfinals. The clubs have not met in the playoffs since then. Bernie Parent recorded six of his franchise-record 50 regular season shutouts against St. Louis. The only team he victimized more wasPittsburgh, which he blanked nine times. A game against St. Louis on March 18, 1979 at the Spectrum marked the first time in their history the Flyers went an entire gamewithout incurring a penalty. Its only happened two more times since then.
