Hitchcock was named the 24th head coach in Blues history on Nov. 7, 2011, and has led the club to four straight postseason appearances, and

Central Division Titles in 2011-12 and 2014-15. In 2011-12, he led the Blues to the their second best season ever and their first division title

since 2000 en route to becoming the NHL's 2012 Jack Adams Award winner, the fourth coach in Blues history to receive the honor. Hitchcock

has also coached in Dallas, Philadelphia and Columbus. He currently ranks 3rd among active coaches in games behind the bench and 2nd in

all-time wins. On Mar. 12, 2015, he became the 4th coach in NHL history to earn 700 wins. During his career, Hitchcock has guided his teams

to eight division titles, while he capture the 1999 Stanley Cup with the Dallas Stars. Hitchcock also served as an assistant coach for Team

Canada when they won Gold at the 2002, 2010 and 2014 Winter Olympics.

The Hurricanes’ alternate captain was named the NHL’s Third Star of the Week for the week ending on Dec. 13, 2015, leads NHL

JUNIOR SUCCESS

Four Carolina Hurricanes prospects made their mark for their respective countries at the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship in

Helsinki, Finland. Goalie Alex Nedeljkovic joined Team USA, defensemen Haydn Fleury and Roland McKeown represented Canada,

and forward Sebastian Aho competed for host country and gold-medal winner Finland. Fleury and McKeown both made their World

Juniors debuts, while Aho and Nedeljkovic both appeared in their second tournament.

Nedeljkovic earned the victory in the USA’s bronze-medal clinching win vs. Sweden (1/5), stopping 35 of 38 shots. He went 4-2 in the

tournament with a 1.66 goals-against average, .943 save percentage and one shutout.

Aho helped Finland earn gold against Russia (1/5), scoring one goal and earning one assist in the tournament’s final game. Throughout

the tournament, Aho recorded 14 points (5g, 9a) in seven games played.
