REFUGEE SETTLEMENT IN ADAMS COUNTY
Christ Lutheran and St. James continue to work together in welcoming and helping to settle new
Burmese families from Myanmar. THE CIN FAMILY recently arrived through Catholic Charities and now lives on East Middle Street. This family includes four children, plus a mother and a father. They are here because they openly practiced their Christian faith and became targets by certain powerful entities in the country. On Sunday, June 12, when we have invited the Rev. Paul Erbes, from Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Services to preach at our Sunday worship services and conduct a Sunday morning forum on refugee immigration and resettlement, we will invite donations for the Cin Family. There will be a table in the main hallway with information on the needs for this local endeavor as well as information as to how you might become involved in local refugee settlement!
