Scrip Click here to see the Thanksgiving Scrip deals and schedule. Progress Reports Your K-5 child is coming home with their first quarter progress report today. Please take some time and look the progress report over and discuss all the good things that your child is doing at school. Please have a conversation of encouragement of the areas that need extra attention. We ask that you sign the red envelope and return it empty to your child’s classroom teacher. Please keep the copy of the first quarter progress report for your records. Roller-skating/ DQ family night (Tonight) St. Gabriel PTO invites you to a roller-skating and Dairy Queen family fun activity tonight. Roller-skating is from 3:30-5:30. After you are done roller-skating don’t forget to stop by DQ for supper or an ice-cream treat. St Gabriel will receive 10% of the profits from DQ. SMCS Enrichment Update New! Cheer will start November 16 for grades 1-5! Karate Session 1B starts the week of November 14. There are still spots open for Club Invention that starts November 16. Register here for these activities and more! Don’t forget that the Enrichment Recital will be November 17 at the FAEC at 6:30 pm. Friends and family are all invited to see the results of the students’ hard work for a fun evening of celebration Recycle SMCS is partnering with many local businesses to collect old Christmas lights as well as old extension cords. St. Gabriel school will have a box by the front office to collect old lights and extension cords. Please see the attached flyer for more details. St. Gabriel School Election The fifth grade students ran a school election for the students and staff of St. Gabriel. The three candidates were the archangels; St. Raphael St. Gabriel, and St. Michael. The fifth grade students ran our poll booth and had all students register to vote. This was a great learning process for the students. After counting all the ballots our school winner this year was St. Michael. November 2, 2016
