DS 900 - DS 1000 surgical instruments washer disinfectors

A fully automatic frontal loading washer disinfector with motorized vertical sliding down door available in single or double door pass through version.

This device offers a complete washing and thermal disinfection treatment and is equipped with an efficient hot air drying system which ensures after disinfection a perfect drying of all instruments and tubes after disinfection thanks to the accurate distribution of the air on all the chamber zones and on the washing cart levels.

The DS 1000 3S version is a fast cycle washer disinfector that can perform a complete cycle up to 30 minutes only including pre-wash, main wash, rinse, thermal disinfection and drying with a great improvement of working efficiency and a consequent reduction of energy consumption.

The different applications are performed using dedicated washing carts and accessories: surgical instruments, MIS instruments, anesthesia instruments, ophthalmology instruments, containers, OP rubber shoes, baby bottles...

Loading and unloading washing carts operations can be done at an ergonomic height by using manual or automatic single loading/unloading transfer trolleys.

Models available

DS 900 single sliding down door washer disinfector DS 1000 double door pass through washer disinfector. This version is suitable for barrier installation in CSSD application and can be equipped with automatic single loading/unloading transfer trolleys. It is compatible with Steelco ATS (Automatic Transfer System)

Different versions available

Standard. The standard version is equipped with heat exchanger. The water is loaded directly from the central water system and is heated in real time through its recirculation. 1S. The device is equipped with a pre-heating tank for the demineralized water to be used during the thermal disinfection phase. 2S. The device is equipped with two pre-heating tanks, one for the pre heating of the main wash water and the other for the demineralized water. 3S. The device is equipped with three tanks:

• two pre heating tanks for both the main wash and demineralized water

• one tank to grant a faster loading of cold water to be used during the pre wash phase. This in order to reduce drastically the loading time from the central water system.

Standard features:

Door • Motorized sliding down glass door with

safety device. The glass door grants total visual monitoring of the process and is made of double HST (High Shock Tested) tempered glass.

• The device is equipped with a safety lock system which is activated during all the cycle time to protect the operator against any inconvenience and to prevent any misuse of the device.

• In the double door pass through version, doors are interlocked to avoid simultaneous opening.

Washing chamber • Washing chamber system is constructed

without angles therefore removing breeding ground for germs.

• The central self-cleaning sump, built with rounded edges, allows a very fast drainage phase and improves the water recirculation system during the treatment.

• Three levels water filtering system to capture residue and preventing their re-circulation to grant excellent washing results.

Pre heating tanks (1S, 2S, 3S versions only) • The two pre heating tanks (for main wash

water and demineralized water) are configured with 13,5kW electrical heating elements (each tank).

• Pre heating tanks are connected directly with the washing chamber through large valves thus allowing a reduction of the water loading time and of the whole cycle.

• The functions and the heating temperatures of the pre heating tanks can be varied to best suit the customer’s procedures.

• Following customers’ procedures, the thermal disinfection water, used in the previous cycle, can be recycled into main washing water, granting a significant energy, water and time saving.

Washing system • Washing and drying injection system are

integrated in the same circuit.

• 2 washing spray arms are installed in the washing chamber to grant an efficient water and air distribution inside the chamber.

• The device permits the automatic and direct connection to the washing cart hydraulic circuit. This allows the water distribution through rotating arms and/or injection systems dedicated to the treatment of hollow instruments.

• Thermal-disinfection by raising the DI water temperature up to 93°C and holding it for a selected time which can be set in accordance with end user specific requirement and different countries law protocols.

• Automatic identification of the washing cart type for the related reprocessing cycle selection.

Washing Pump • The device is equipped with a 1.5kW high

performance water recirculation pump with a max flow rate of 900 lt/min.

• Self drain pump.

• The wash pump also works as a drain pump.

• Thanks to three injection connections to the hydraulic system and its tight seal mechanical actuation, the water is well distributed to the washing cart, washing arms and to all the MIS and Anaesthesia injection connections.

Chemical dosage system • The device is equipped with two automatic

chemical peristaltic dosing pumps under complete micro-processor control with the possibility to customize the quantity of liquid dosed. Other chemical dosing pumps are available as optional.

• Double control of the chemical dispensing system with volume and flow meter check.

• Chemical product quantity check with minimum level alarm.

Heating elements • The heating system is composed by an

electrical heating element (24kW power) that is placed into an exchanger connected to the washing chamber. The heating element is used to heat both water and air during the different phases of the cycle.

• Double heat exchanger thermostats.

Temperature control system • Temperature check by means of 2 PT1000

independent probes.

• One is dedicated to the control of the device cycle temperature and the other is used for the control of the disinfection phase and documentation. During the cycle the delta temperature between the probes is is controlled by a microprocessor which stops the cycle in case of high discrepancy.

Drying System • Forced hot air drying system for a perfect

distribution on all the washing chamber, washing cart levels and/or washing cart injectors for MIC and aesthesia instruments applications.

• Thanks to three injection connections system, the hot air is well distributed among the washing cart washing arms and to all the MIS and Anaesthesia injection connections.

• Electrical heating element of 24 kW.

• High speed and powerful electrical fan (1,8 Kw power) with adjustable time and temperature setting.

• The drying system is equipped with pre-filter F-class and HEPA filter H 14 (99,995%).

Chemical products storage • Large storage on bottom basement to

place up to three chemical containers of 5 lt. each. Storage is accessible through a locked door.

Insulation • High quality melamine thermal and

acoustic insulation to minimize energy consumption and thermal loss.

Control system

• Steelcotronic Control System with PLC touch screen panel that constantly monitors and displays the current cycle status and alarms.

• Colour touch sceen of 5.6” on front loading side and 4,5” on unloading side.

• 3 levels of password to protect the system and the access to new programs.

• Possibility to memorize 65 different cycles programmes.

• Total check of cycle phases, chemical dosing, time, temperature, quantity of water and drying.
