Humble Offering at the Lotus Feet of our beloved Lord Sri Sathya Sai Baba
With prayers at the Lotus Feet of Bhagawan Baba, the 34th State Conference was held in an atmosphere of Love & Devotion at GCD High School Parade Ground, Rayagada hosted by Rayagada district. Prof. Harikrishna Dash, State President, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, Orissa inaugurated the programme and presided over the proceedings of the conference. Highlights of State Conference Spiritual exhibition was organised depicting the message of Bhagawan Baba on Golden Age & Spiritual revolution, SSS‐VIP, SSS‐Housing Project, Introducing God through animals, eye donation etc. along with district wise highlights of activities under taken. The Rally of devotees which covered the whole town with decorated Swami’s Chariot have left the unforgettable impressions on the hearts of the participants & general public. Seven new publications & two multimedia CDs by e‐Techno‐Media team were released on the occasion. The LCD based presentation on success stories of Sai activities carried out throughout the state inspired the participants. Beautiful cultural programme by BV students & Youths of Rayagada District touched hearts of everyone. The Conference was based on following panel discussions to enable participation of maximum (64 nos.) District Presidents and Resource persons and to allow sharing of their views.

A Symposium on “The new dawn of Golden Age” covering talks on “New man & New world”, “Spiritual Revolution – Love as the means & Love as the end” was organized in the open session. Besides that, brief talks were also covered on

The State President conducted separate meetings among all State Office bearers, District Presidents, District Youth Coordinators etc. to enable in‐depth interaction and formulation of future action plan. 1483 delegates from all over the State and about 500 delegates from local district, totaling more than 1983 delegates actively participated in the conference.
Decisions of the Conference (A) Youth Activities & Sai Vedic Choir
1. Vedic prayer should be chanted at each Sai center (Samithi / Bhajan Mandali) which will result peace and harmony not only in the centres but also for world peace. Therefore it is suggested that the regular / weekly training camps should be held as far as possible at the Mandir itself.
2. As per Bhagwan’s directive all should chant Sri Rudram. It should be the effort of each of us to
chant Rudram on a daily basis to save the mankind from disasters and destruction. 3. Propagation of Vedic Prayer in the state is to be intensified. District Vedic Choir Co‐ordinators
(DVCC) have to finalise the list of trained chanters by the end of May 2010. On the basis of the list a team shall be formed to chant Veda in His divine presence at Prasanthi. Members are requested to pray Bhagwan intensely to allow Vedic Prayer by the devotees of Orissa.
4. For this purpose DVCCs are required to compile audio CD of mass chanting and send to the
state for finalisation by the end of May 2010.
5. Youths have to play a predominant role in strengthening the organisation as a whole. Therefore it should be the effort of all to bridge the gap wherever they see any weaknesses in any of the wings.
6. Youth festival at Puttaparthi would be held from August 25th to 27th. Same time Prasanthi Seva
of Orissa shall be going on. Therefore more and more youths are encouraged to join Prasanthi Seva during that period. New youths and the village youths should be given a chance to accompany this youth pilgrimage.
7. “Sai Katha” magazine would be published during youth pilgrimage. All articles, photos,
experiences should reach State President by 15th June 2010.
8. The role of DYC has been broadened to convene quarterly meeting of samiti youth coordinators, to maintain a register of youths, to nurture the BV Pre sevadal students to bring them to Sevadal, to ensure that all youths are attached to a Samithi / Bhajan Mandali, to ensure they perform in addition to Seva, spiritual practices too.

10. The State Youth activities Coordination committee members should visit each unit under their allotted
districts atleast once in a year. They should provide orientation to the youths for Spiritual sadhana, Prasanthi Seva etc. They should motivate youths through involvement in activities, Summer Courses, Youth Festivals & other innovative ways so that more & more youths join the Sai fold.
11. District Presidents are requested to give proper recognition & take advantage of expertise of
the concerned State Youth activities Coordination committee members by involving & allowing him / her to interact with youths by visiting different units periodically, guiding youths in various activities, acting as an intermediary between the DYCs & SYCC.
12. On 20th June 2010, there will be orientation programme for all DYCs (Gents & Ladies) at Bhubaneswar.
Therefore, State Youth Coordinator (Gents & Ladies) in consultation with DPs & State Youth activities Coordination Committee members with approval of State President will finalise the names of DYC (Gents & Ladies) by 31st May 2010, with due changes wherever required.
13. All the members of Youth activities coordination committee members and the DYCs are required to
attend Prasanthi Seva atleast once in a year.
14. As per new charter, State Youth Coordinator has been assigned with additional responsibility as Communication Coordinator. He should assist State President in collecting & compiling various reports to be submitted to Central office along with monthly report for Sanatan Sarathi. District Youth Coordinators as well as Youth activities Coordination Committee members would actively feed the reports in consultation with DP.

15. Each district shall take up a special project to offer at His lotus feet. DYCs in consultation with DPs are required to finalise their specific project by the end of May 2010 and communicate to the State Office. These projects are to be need based, within specific time frame (by 23rd Nov 2010), within budgetary capacity of the unit and with touch of spirituality. Few proposed projects are as follows:

16. For Radio Sai programme broadcasting, each district should have a co‐ordinator and resource
persons. They should be oriented as to the modus operandi with the help of Dr. Brahmanand Hota & State Digital Archive Co‐ordinator so that precious events, thoughts, plays etc. can be broadcast in Radio Sai.
17. Sai symphony in the state should be revitalised to include better bhajan singers. It should
conduct more and more Bhajan training programmes across the state to ensure that the quality of Bhajan sung are in parlance with Prasanthi Mandir Bhajans. It should be noted that the endeavour should aim at creating good Bhajan singers across the state along with strengthening the Sai Symphony group and performing devotional songs in the divine presence.
18. It is high time that the message of Bhagawan be spread across humanity to restore peace and
harmony. Youth of Orissa has to take a special effort in this direction. Innovative ways of display of divine message should be formulated by the task force within the ambit of the rules and regulations of the Organisation.
(B) SSS‐ VIP ‐ our approach & Roadmap
1. Work in all SSS‐VIP villages be taken up as per the booklet circulated to DPs. The vision, action plan, manpower sourcing & training, allotment of active workers ( 2 workers per 10 families) with assignment of stream of seva chosen from action plan, deployment of a village in‐charge, ensuring report from workers and village in‐charge would be looked into. In this regard the concept of SSS‐VIP along with case study of 4 villages of Bhadrak district have been prepared & circulated, which may be referred. The same is also available over the website.
2. The SSS‐VIP village as a whole and all the families as well as members of each family need be
soaked with so much Sai Love and Sai Love in action, that the village also generate 4M (Manpower, Material, Money, Method ).
3. Activities for the holistic need of each family and village under seven cares (Medicare, Animal
Care, Employment care, Agricare, Socio care, aqua care, employment care, Educare) are to be taken up continuously at 405 identified villages till the goal is reached ‐ the village is transformed & offered at the Lotus feet as a unit of SSSSO.

(C) SSS‐Housing Project
1. All 16 SSS‐HP villages (including SSS‐HP beneficiaries as well as other families) would be taken up as special SSS‐VIP villages.
2. Steps should be taken to create a special atmosphere in the village with spiritual vibrations as well as beautification of the village through gardening, social forestry, sanitation etc. so that some one entering that village should feel some difference.
3. The DPs agreed to take up all round development of the concerned villages as specified below.
Brothers from the village as well as from the organization have been nominated as coordinator who would be responsible for activities being carried out in the village & timely reporting with photographs in consultation with DPs.

(D) Techno‐e‐Media Digital Archive
Digital archives Team of the state have detailed discussion on various issues pertaining to media handling and reporting. The aim & objectives of the Digital Archive system have been explained. The roles and responsibility of the district archive coordinators have been clarified. Once again it has been emphasized for well‐scripted report of the event that can touch the heart of readers. The report document must be accompanied by well‐clicked quality photo/ video. In case of video it should not be more than 3mts duration. Proper indexing of media (document/photo/video) has also been explained.
1. All the events of the District those are inspiring/motivating/important must be reported
properly with digital photos. If video is available the same may be sent by DVD/CD, but the duration of each video clip must not be more than 3 minutes.
2. Report must be prepared in consultation with Samithi Convener. 3. The report should be sent to the state immediately after the event, with due approval of
District Presidents. 4. A copy of the report will be available in the website www.sathyasaiodisha.org 5. A state level training for skill enhancement of district archive coordinators will be organized.

The features being provided over the website www.sathyasaiodisha.org should be properly populated by the districts as well as concerned coordinators.
a. Forthcoming events: As many devotees are not able to know what activities are going on at which place, the website has a facility to display future programmes along with the programme copy. This will create awareness among all the devotees across the state. Requirement: To upload details it is requested to send the programme copy (hardcopy / softcopy / scanned copy) well before commencement of the programme.
b. Recent Activities:
The activity reports along with photographs & experiences are being uploaded as soon as it is received. Now, everyone will be able to know details as soon as programme is over & the workers involved in the programme will feel that, yes, our offerings through the activity has been communicated to all across the globe. Requirement: As soon as the programme is over, please send the detailed report along with photographs, News paper cuttings, experiences etc.
c. Photo Gallery – Maximum six photographs of one activity can be uploaded. As soon as
the selected photographs are received it will be uploaded.
d. Video Link – One Video link is available on home page. Small video clips of major activities would be uploaded.
e. Contact Details – Under Organisation Tab, one can have contact details of different
office bearers.
Requirement: Whenever there is any change of address or contact number, please inform us for immediate change of the same so that all can get the up‐to‐date information.
f. Resources: One will have Articles / e‐books, Presentations, Teaching Aids, Photographs of activities, Audio, Video, Wallpapers etc. under the Resources Tab.
Requirements: If you have any such material & you feel that the same will be valuable for others, you are requested to send the same for uploading to the website.
There are many other options, which need to be populated. Concerned coordinators are requested to send detailed information like major projects, activities, institutions / schools detail etc. for necessary updation. The Website team is facilitating the hassle free uploading of multimedia as well as reports at their respective places to the central server. This may take some time, but till then members are requested to send the report and photo by e‐mail / CD.

VOCATIONAL TRAINING ‐ SELECTION AND WORKING
Career Guidance for self‐employment has been the biggest motivational factor for the unemployed youth. This should be intensified more so in the SSSVIP villages. Steps should be taken to create as many employments as possible in the coming year to place at the divine lotus feet.
Technology to village
Various technology details as available over the website www.srisathyasaitech.in were discussed and it was clarified that need based technology suitable for each village can be used. Solar light assembly can be taken upon priority basis atleast at one or two villages of the state. All villagers would be motivated to use sanitary toilets in their house. The released CD named “Gruhalaxmi” on use of toilets should be screened at villages to create the awareness.
(E) Holistic Health Care Seva
The decisions of state level workshop of doctors and paramedical workers held on 14.3.2010 have been released in the form of a booklet in state conference. The same has been made available over the website. The same proceedings may be referred out to action.
1. All the permanent health centers run by Sri Sathya Sai Seva organization should apply & obtain
valid license from the department of health to store & dispense the medicine. Dr. B. C. Das may be contacted for details.
2. Each district should organise annual patient meet wherein all patients treated at Bangalore &
Puttaparthi hospitals as well as patients being adopted & treated through the local units may come together, share their feelings & feel the divine love in a spiritual atmosphere.
3. Sanitation & Seva work should be conducted regularly at local hospitals to have a loving touch
with doctors & medical institutions.
4. The organization can act as facilitator in helping villagers to avail the government provisions under Janani Surakshya Yojana (JSY), Nutritional Rehabilitation center (NRC), observation of Mamata Diwas, Pustikara Diwas etc.
5. Blood donation is to be conducted in a spiritual atmosphere, taking utmost care as required,
along with other service & spiritual activities. The awareness camp for District Youth Coordinators & brothers involved in health seva on blood science & different health science will be conducted on 19th June 2010 at Bhubaneswar.
6. Regular health checkup & Health card maintenance should be pursued for school children at
SSS‐VIP /SSS‐HP villages, Sri Sathya Sai Schools and for all BV children.
7. Sri Sathya Sai Telemedicine Center (TMC), the unique gift of Bhagawan to Orissa, is running at Unit‐III, Bhubaneswar. Consultations are available with TMC Bangalore on every Tuesday & Thursday for Neuro‐surgery cases and on Friday & Saturday for Cardiac Surgery cases. Prior appointment can be obtained over phone no. 0674‐2391090 daily from 9 am to 1 pm.
8. The eye‐donation features were highlighted in the exhibition & 75 families filled the voluntary
eye‐donation pledge form & obtained the certificates signed by State President. This awareness drive should be conducted at each district. Steps should be taken to enroll eligible blinds at eye banks & motivate for real eye donation within six hours of death of any person in our locality.

(F) Animal Integrated Care
State President expressed his desire to present an album to Bhagawan depicting holistic animal care in our state. It is now high time to raise upto the occasion without any lapses any more.
Activities to be taken up include:
• Animal health camps, particularly stressing upon infertility cases, should be conducted atleast for targeted animals twice in a year and follow up action should be continued for success. Record, thereof, should definitely be maintained and success stories may be brought up. It is now imperative to issue animal health card to all families having domestic animals while continuing the health and vaccination camp. One card should be issued to each family and subsequently, there needs to be proper follow up with recording of animal care activities on the cards issued to them. The copy of the card is attached in the annexure.
• Regular de‐worming and vaccination of all animals should be conducted.
• Pucca floor must be ensured in the shed where animals (small or big) live.
• Calf Rearing of “F1‐ crossbred calves” should be taken up in targeted villages with regular
feeding and Care. The project already circulated may be followed up exclusively.
• Intensive fodder production (both perennial and seasonal) should be taken up. Mixed fodder farming with cereals and legumes is most ideal.
• Plantation of fodder trees (sobabul, dimiri) in rows by the road side in a village, and in Gochar
lands should be taken up before July’10.
• Community fodder farming may be taken up in Gochar Land.
• Goat being poor man’s cow and generally maintained by needy peoples in rural areas, health care of those animals and feeding facilities having sufficient space for their living, may be stressed upon to achieve better result.
• Training programme through ATMA and Soil Conservation department should be arranged for
the farmers. (V.A.S. to be contacted)
• Visit to “Gokulam” at Puttaparthi may be arranged for the farmers.
• Veterinary Medicine Bank may be established at each Samiti.
• Creation of deep awareness for artificial insemination for improvement of herd through up‐gradation with the help of Hariyana or Shindhi breed or crossbreeding with exotic blood.
• Generally, the landless labourers and small farmers make out their living in toto or partially on
small ruminant, and dairy farming. These BPL farmers, who have interest in rearing animals, but do not have purchasing power and lack technical support, should be considered to make them adopted family. They should be given managemental (feeding, housing, vaccination & de‐worming) and technical support for their betterment and economical enhancement.

4. Students of Group‐III 1st year, 2nd year must submit their project reports to the Education Coordinator by the end of May 2010. Project reports of Group‐III 3rd year students must reach State Coordinator (Education) by 31st May 2010. Necessary help & guidance are to be extended to students by Gurus & other resource persons of the samithi.
5. Final year Group‐III students after submitting the assessment cards must join the group going to Prasanthi Nilayam for Darshan during August.
6. After group‐III, the students will be engaged in organization activities and will be termed as Pre‐Sevadal till they attain the age to join the youth wing of organization. One gents mentor for boys and one lady mentor for girls may be nominated by samithi separately.
7. New Syllabus & new books for BV are available at Sri Sathya Sai Press, Bhubaneswar which may
be collected and used.
8. Care should be taken to see that the cultural programmes performed by BV students are value‐based. We have to be very careful about characters, language etc.
9. “Festival of Joy” has been organized at few districts. Other districts should organize the same before November 2010.
In Festival of Joy children should enjoy the best in a loving atmosphere with relaxed mind. There should NOT be any COMPETITION rather interactive & participatory programmes. Maximum students should be given chances to present their inherent talents. Programme coordination should be done by Past B.V Students Programme may comprise of Presentation on Life of Bhagawan Baba, Teachings of Major Religions, Inner significance of observation of different festivals, life of saints etc. through Role Play / dance form / rural folk form. Presentation of Extra Curricular Activities by students (Dance / Music/ Mono-action, Devotional Song etc.), Rural Sports (Puchhi/ Skipping etc.), short speeches by students, Training on Handicrafts for Group-3 students etc. can also be part of the programme.

(H) Mahila Bibhag
1. Sai Premadhara, the loving care of Mother & Children, need to be intensified covering all SSS‐VIP & SSS‐HP villages.
2. List of mahila activities circulated during state conference, 2009 are to be followed. 3. The quarterly report as per format attached need to be send by Samiti Youth coordinator
(ladies) to District Youth Coordinator (Ladies) who in turn will compile & submit the district report to State Youth Coordinator (Ladies) after consultation with DP.
4. District Youth Coordinator (ladies) will maintain the profile of all youth ladies in the district in a register along with their consent month for Prasanthi Seva.
5. During observation of Mahila Divas on 19th of every month following topics may be discussed at Samithi / B.M level

(I) Sri Sathya Sai Schools
1. Sathya Sai Schools are to be taken up as District Project by the concerned districts where the schools are running at present. The entire district should see the qualitative & financial improvement of the school to make it a model in the District.
2. 21 days long training will be conducted at Bhubaneswar from 4th May to 24th May 2010. Each school shall send two teachers for training.
3. State level magazine would be published by 1st September 2010 so that the same can be offered to
Swami during Prasanthi Darshan programme. Each school should send photographs of activities / programmes / School buildings, Drawings / Theme based Paintings by students and articles of students, teachers, managing committee members etc. along with Rs.3000/‐ (Rupees Three Thousand only) latest by 31st July 2010 to Shri Ekadasi Jena, Bhubaneswar, C/O State President, Orissa.
4. “Prasanthi Darshan” programme would be organized for teachers & students of Sri Sathya Sai
Schools during 4th Sept to 6th Sept 2010. Thirty selected senior students & three teachers from each school are to be nominated for the programme.
5. Sri Sathya Sai Schools of Bhawanipatna, Bhanjanagar and Kingol of Dhenkanal districtshould
prepare Self Study Report for accreditation on early date.
6. Value festivals would be conducted for boys and girls separately for South zone at Berhampur and for North Zone at Balasore during 1st week of July 2010.
7. It has also been decided for formation of “Education Trust” with the blessings of Bhagawan to
manage all the schools of Orissa.
(J) Prasanthi Security & Prasanthi Seva • Training of active workers for Prasanthi Seva is to be done at Samiti / District level regularly.
D.Ps & Conveners should see that no one goes to Prasanthi without training. The training should be given by them who have gained respectability and acceptability among workers.
• While nominating brothers & sisters care should be taken to select them who are well acquainted with the organization. It is requested to eliminate them who have been issued Identity cards but never come to Samithi / Bhajan Mandali.
• Youths of SSSVIP and SSSHP villages are to be given enough orientation for Prasanthi Seva to
bridge the gap in numbers during Orissa Seva at Prasanthi. • A State level Sevadal pool is to be formed comprising of trained Prasanthi workers (both from
Sevadal & PS) from all districts who would always be in readiness to join any seva at any part of the state or at Prasanthi specially during Feb/ March / May seva in a short notice . District Presidents are required to send the list of such workers in the annenxed format.
• Youths who have enough experience in Prasanthi duty & are attending Prasanthi Seva regularly
& have ability to lead a team, need to be selected from each district. They would be imparted orientation & training to become the Deputy Group leaders / Group Leaders in Prasanthi Seva. The list of such brothers & sisters may be sent to state office by 31st May 2010 as per format attached in annexure.

• Another pool of 40‐50 well educated, well behaved, young boys, ready to render seva for
continuous 15 days, having good personality, need to be created & trained for Swami’s residence duty. The list of such young boys is to be prepared & submitted to state office by 31st May 2010 as per format attached herewith. Please note that such identified boys would render seva along with experienced youths, already doing seva at Swami’s residence. While sending such youths to Prasanthi seva, they should be clearly informed that, if required & if selected then only they would get chance to render duty at Swami’s residence, otherwise they should be ready to render seva at any allocated point.
• We must come forward to fund a willing Sai worker, who is financially weak to participate in Prasanthi seva, especially from SSS‐VIP villages.
(K) Our Preparedness for 85th birthday Celebration
It has been decided to spread the Sai Love throughout the state on this auspicious year while we are going to observe 85th birthday of incarnation of Sai Avatar.
Following activities would be conducted in mass scale:
• BV rallies /Youth Rallies at each district to spread Sai Message • Seminar & Symposiums on Life & Teachings of Bhagawan Baba at Colleges & Universities • Exhibition / Seminars on “Sri Sathya Sai Medicare & Human Values” at medical colleges • Intellectual Seminars for Journalists / Lawyers / Educationalists / Poets etc. • Display of hoardings / paintings at strategic locations in regional languages. • Publishing articles on Divine life & Divine message in leading newspapers • Mega health camps for villages in Rural Community Centers of Orissa. • Intensive National Narayan Seva at each unit to see that no one dies in starvation in our
locality. • Maintenance of spiritual diary on practice of three points (Telling truth, speaking sweet, Not
talking ill of others) by each & every member & offering the same at His Lotus feet on 23rd Nov 2010.
• The 85th birthday logo, as circulated to all, is to be used in all correspondence / circulars in
connection with 85th Birthday Programmes during 2010. It is not to be used on personal letterheads, visiting cards, other letterheads of the Organisation, etc.
• The exhibition on SSS‐VIP programme is going to be organized at the open place available
near Indoor Stadium at Prasanthi Nilayam from 16th Nov 2010 to 24th Nov 2010. All states of India & abroad are going to display the Sai Seva done at respective places. Apart from models of Seva activities, well clicked photographs depicting innovative seva at villages, transformations brought in the villages, Swami’s presence in various forms etc. are to be displayed in the best possible way. Therefore all districts should start planning the activities & take well planned photographs & submit the same in state office for final selection by the State Exhibition committee.
• During this period each state would be provided a slot of one hour to perform cultural
programmes in form of various dances at an open pendal in the exhibition venue. Any district interested to participate in this programme may submit their proposal by 30th June 2010 for final selection & practice thereof.

(L) New Rules & Regulations New rules & regulations book of the organization has been blessed by Bhagawan and AIP has instructed that it would be followed uniformly at the various levels of the organization. Wherever clarification is required or any modification is essential, SP would take up the issue with AIP. • In state level, Shri Narayan Prasad Sar (Ph. 9338338503), Bhubaneswar has been nominated as State Youth & Communication Coordinator and Ms. Sushree Das (Ph.9437012799), Bhubaneswar has been nominated as State Youth Ladies Coordinator.
• In District level, at present we are having nine members in District Task force. The new four office bearers at District level as per details specified above are to be nominated from the existing District task Force members based on their expertise. Other five members, who are basically from different techno‐expert area like Vocational Guidance & Techno e‐Media, Digital Archive, Vedic Prayer, Holistic Health care and Holistic Animal care would continue as District Task Force to support District President in the specified area.
• Samiti Convener need to re‐assign responsibility as per details specified above.
• Detail list of district & Samiti office bearers is to be submitted to the state office as per proforma attached by 31st May 2010.
• All state level coordinators shall be responsible & report to the State President with respect to work assigned to them under the rules. All communication & recommendations of the State level coordinators with respect to their area of activity shall be only communicated through the State President to District Presidents who in turn shall communicate to the Samithi Conveners.
