riverbank barracuDas sWim TeamTryouts for the team will be held on Saturday, May 4th at 10:00 am. Those already on the team do not need to tryout again. All swimmers must be able to swim the distance of the pool with the free style stroke (25 yards) and any other skills required by the team coach.

Practice will begin on June 3rd and the season will run through August 2nd. A parent meeting will be held on Monday, May 6th at 6:00 pm at the Community Center gazebo.

Registration deadline is Friday, May 31, 2013. You may register online at www.riverbankrecreation.com.

Fee: $115.00 for the 9 week session Additional family member $100.00Additional: Swimmer must purchase swim goggles and a team suit.

ciTy of riverbank sWim lessonsSwim lessons are offered in two week sessions that run Monday – Thursday. Each session is taught for 40 minutes.Instructors will test on the first day of class to confirm each child is placed in the cored level.Private lessons can be arranged through the Recreation Department depending on Instructor availability. The cost is $130.00 for 8 days of lessons that are each one half hour in length.

parenT/babyThis course is designed for the 6 month to 36 month old baby. A parent or both parents learn how to assist their child in water adjustment with the guidance of an instructor. Swim diapers are required and a parent is required to be in the water.

Tiny ToT(Pre-school 3- 5 years old)This course is designed for the child who is ready to swim. This is an introductory course that will help your child feel comfortable in the water as well as introduce them to basic water safety and swimming skills. Parents remain out of the water for this course but offer support and encouragement.

(Levels 1 -3) Ages 6 and aboveThe beginner classes are designed to progress from level 1 to level 3. A student placed in level 2 class, must perform the skills required for level 1. This requirement continues from level to level.

aDvanceD beginner/inTermeDiaTeThese courses are for the more advanced swimmer. Skills learned in level 3 will be practiced to build student confidence. Stroke refinement includes additional guided practice. Swimming distances are required to build endurance. These courses require additional pool space so are only offered at designated times.

silva park pHase iiThe City has plans to complete phase II of this park as originally planned once funding is secured. Phase II will include a shade structure, picnic area, restroom and water play equipment.

Jacob myers parkThe Friends of Jacob Myers Park and the City of Riverbank continue to work on implementing the Master Plan for this park. The Wedding Gazebo is complete! We are working on increased parking and an amphitheater. As grants and donations are received, we will move forward with these projects.

riverbank sporTs compleXPhase II will include a picnic area, BMX Park (not track but a park similar to a skatepark), and a recreation area. Phase II will begin as soon as we can secure funding.

Jacob myers parkLocated off Santa Fe Road, over the bridge to the left, along the Stanislaus River. Amenities: large gazebo, playground, wedding gazebo, finger park (bring your own small toy cars), picnic area, open space, restrooms, bicycle/pedestrian trail and group camp area. No jump houses are permitted at this park.

communiTy cenTer parkLocated at 3600 Santa Fe St. This park offers a playground and gazebo. This park is near the Riverbank Community Pool. Jump Houses are allowed with a permit.

casTleberg parkThis park is located at Eighth and Kentucky and offers a playground, large gazebo area, baseball/softball diamonds, basketball courts, restrooms, and pedestrian walkway around the park. Jump Houses are allowed with a permit.

riverbank sporTs compleXLocated at 2119 Morrill Rd. The Sports Complex has a soccer field and a football/soccer field that can be reserved on a first come first serve basis. A concession stand is also available. These are lighted fields.

plaza Del rioLocated across the street from City Hall, this is a perfect location for art, theater, and music! Come to the park and visit Downtown Riverbank!

scouT HallLocated at 3017 High Street. The Scout Hall is perfect for small events. A small kitchen is available.

riverbank communiTy poolLocated on the corner of 7th and Stanislaus Street. During the summer the pool is available to rent for birthday parties, company parties, church parties and more! Cost includes lifeguards. Pool is only open for rent when it is not open to the public.

riverbank Teen cenTerLocated at 3600A Santa Fe, this facility can be rented for youth groups, meetings or special functions during non-operational hours.
