Gwillim, a 5-foot-11, 170-pound senior, had 88 yards on seven carries with two touchdowns to help CHS to a 55-25 win at Southwest- ern. Gwillim has 469 rushing yards on 56 carries (8.4 avg.) this season, along with four catches for 107 yards. He has seven touchdowns. “Garet has been solid for us every week,” Carlinville head coach Chad Easterday said. “Last night he came up with some key runs for us includ- ing taking the first handoff for us to the house. He had some great, hard runs.” Gwillim received a t-shirt courtesy of Edwards, a Coun- try Financial representative in Carlinville, along with a large pizza compliments of Little Italy’s Pizza in the Carlinville Plaza. The Cubby Hole Defen- sive Player of the Game Elijah Bar- ber was named The Cubby Hole Defensive Player of the Game. Barber, a 5-foot-8, 160-pound senior de- fensive back, came up with a pair of inter- ceptions and a fumble recov- ery. His returned his second pick 30 yards early in the third quarter to set up a Carl- inville touchdown that helped seal the victory over the Pia- sa Birds. “He came up huge with those two interceptions and the fumble recovery,” Easter- day said of Barber. “He had several tackles and has been doing a great job.” Barber received a plaque courtesy of The Cubby Hole, along with a large pizza com- pliments of Nick’s Pizza in Carlinville. Carlinville Football Club Game Changer Award Mitchell Bolomey re- ceived the Carlinville Football Club Game Chang- er Award this week. Bolomey, a 5-foot-10, 160-pound ju- nior, returned a Southwestern fumble 46 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter. Bolomey is among the team leaders in tackles this season with 43, including 20 solos and one tackle for loss. “He came up with a big play and it came at a good time,” Easterday said. “The ball kind of bounced off a kid’s back and he ended up taking it to the house.” Bolomey received a plaque courtesy of the Carlinville Football Club, along with a large pizza compliments of Reno’s Pizza in Carlinville. Garet Gwillim Elijah Barber Mitchell Bolomey CHS Volleyball Player of the Week Carley Kulen- kamp, Glenn In- surance Player of the Week Carley Kulen- kamp, daughter of Roy and Cathy Kulenkamp was chosen by Andy Glenn as Gelnn Insurance Play- er of the Week for the week of Oct. 6. Glenn chose her for outstand- ing setting ability and strong serv- ing during the past week. Carley runs a 5-1 offense for the Ladies. She has worked very hard developing her skills and has be- come one of the best setters in this area. She can set the high sets, but also runs the court with fast sets in three zones along the net. Not only is she a strong setter but knows when to score against the opponent and averages four kills per match on second ball attacks. Carley Kulen-kamp, Glenn In-surance Player of the Week

Carley Kulen-kamp, daughter of Roy and Cathy Kulenkamp was chosen by Andy Glenn as Gelnn Insurance Play-

er of the Week for the week of Oct. 6. Glenn chose her for outstand-ing setting ability and strong serv-ing during the past week.

Carley runs a 5-1 offense for the Ladies. She has worked very hard developing her skills and has be-come one of the best setters in this area. She can set the high sets, but also runs the court with fast sets in three zones along the net. Not only is she a strong setter but knows when to score against the opponent and averages four kills per match on second ball attacks.

Her stats for the week were 23 service points, seven aces, 10 kills, three stuff blocks, 37 assists and eight digs.
