through intensive training sessions, video analysis, sports mind training, strength and conditioning, performance seminars, technique development and goal setting. Each day is carefully planned

to improve your performance, enhance your recovery and allow you to challenge your perceived limits. We made it our priority to help you achieve your potential in sport and manage life’s

challenges. Athletes are placed in groups according to their age, ability and experience

It’s important for athletes to experience more than sport and have fun outside of training. The Sport Performance Camps provide nightly on-site movie, cultural, team building and other fun activities involving athletes from each of the sports. To give the athletes a well-earned break during the middle of the camp, they will all enjoy the tropical setting and fun beach activities at Naithon Beach.

SPIRIT

Every athlete has its own unique physiology, mindset and training environment, so each athlete requires their own training program and

TRAINING PARADISEThanyapura Sports & Leisure Club (TSLC) is a destination in itself. The complex offers world-class sports and leisure facilities to local and interna-

tional communities in Phuket and visiting professional and amateur athletes. Located less than 15 minutes from Phuket International Airport, in an area of outstanding natural beauty, TSLC is supported by the unique resources of Thanyapura which include the Thanyapura Mind Centre,

Thanyapura Integrative Health Centre, 38-room Thanyapura Retreat, 77-room Thanyapura Sports Hotel and the Phuket International Academy Day School. Together, these unique entities offer all ages a state-of-the-art, sustainable campus committed to exceptional education, sports,

arts and holistic wellness.

SLEEP Sleep and proper recovery is essential to increasing athletic

performance. We know how important a good night’s sleep is so we installed Sealy Posturepedic beds in all 77 rooms at our Sports

Hotel. We also have 38 rooms at the Thanyapura Retreat provid-ing plenty of room for you, your family or team to stay and

train at Thanyapura.

PERFORM Extensive research has shown that the athletic mind accounts for up to 90% of what differentiates the average athlete from

the standout performer. Our Sports Mind Trainer creates custom programs to enhance your emotional control, mental toughness, coping skills and more to create the optimal performance mindset. Our Sport Science program delivers

information to increase your performance through video analysis, physiology testing, speed and agility testing, altitude training and strength and conditioning. Many athletes make use of our Sport Scientist to benchmark their

performance levels, and use this data to fine tune their training programs.

FUNDAMENTAL

TRAIN Thanyapura is a world-class sports and training facility for elite athletes and amateur enthusiasts. All of our sports facilities are in immaculate condition including 25m and 50m (3m Deep) Olympic Standard swimming pools, six plexi-cushion tennis courts, 500m synthetic cushioned running track, full size IRB rugby and FIFA football approved pitch, beach volleyball courts, 900 sqm Technogym equipped fitness center, basketball court and Futsol pitch.

RECOVERDuring recovery the body adapts

to the training stimulus so it can be faster, stronger and perform

longer. Thanyapura provides assistance to athletic recovery

through sports massage, ice baths, organic juices and shakes

and other recovery modalities.

HEALTH Being consistent is important for

athletic development so it’s important to remain healthy and

injury free. Our team at the Integrative Health Center

provides general medicine, physiotherapy, light therapy

treatment and other natural services to keep you performing

optimally.

INTERNATIONAL COACH

Holding both FA and National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)

advanced qualifications. Martin spent 8 years in America coaching in over 30 states for the

MLS Camps, winning Coach of the year in 2003.

MARTIN HILL

Professional football players from Phuket’s number one professional

football club, Phuket FC, will assist with coaching during the Football

Performance Camps.

The Thanyapura Football Performance Camps, held in conjunction with Phuket Soccer School,

are a unique and dynamic environment for a young soccer enthusiast of 10-18 years old to

master the mental, physical and technical skills of the game. The camps are designed to cater

for intermediate through to advanced level players by providing the necessary tools to im-

prove and enjoy football for life. Our passionate and knowledgeable staff and professional

players deliver a performance program which focuses on technical, tactical, fitness and team

development. This camp is suitable for those wishing to realize a career in football as well as

enjoyment.

RUGBYThanyapura partners with Code5 to provide Rugby

Performance Camps which have been designed with the modern game of Rugby 7’s and the Olympic

Dream in mind. They focus on all round player development, individual positional skills, unit skills

and team strategy. The camps are designed for 13-18 year olds by New Zealand coaches, including

All Black Troy Flavell, where you will learn cutting edge techniques and skills required in today’s

modern game. Delivered by some of New Zealand’s leading coaches and trainers, the Rugby

Performance Camps are committed to developing the future of rugby players by providing high

performance training programs that enable players to fulfill their potential.

TROY FLAVELL 17 years professional rugby career. He has

played 22 test matches for the All Blacks, represented NZ in 7’s and the NZ Maori All

Blacks. He captained the Auckland Blues and has eight years playing experience in both

Japan and France.

Code5 is focused on quality and draws on coaches with

International experience, with many being world-

renowned as the best players that game has seen.

attend the Sport Performance Camps. We will announce a specialist international coach

shortly to work alongside Simon Jones and the Thanyapura Swim Coaching Staff.

INTERNATIONAL COACH

Developing eight world-class swimmers including one World

and Commonwealth Games champion. Recently he worked in

Hong Kong as the Head Coach of the Hong Kong Island Stingrays

swim team and turned it into the leading ex-pat swimming team.

SIMON JONES

Thanyapura Silverfinz Swimming Team-Head Coach , a Level 2 Coach and with

an International Bronze Coaching License awarded by the Australian

Swimming Coaches and Teach-ers Association.

RANDY SIMON

Get ready for a highly personalized Swimming Performance Camp, led by experienced

Thanyapura coaches Simon Jones and Randy Simon and a soon to be announced international

coach, which will immerse you in the sport of swimming and provide an intensive training

experience essential for improvement. With a swimmer-to-coach ratio of 8:1our fully supervised

camp, swimmers will experience intensive pool training, dryland, seminars, sports mind training

and sport science aimed at performance enhancement while instilling a lifelong passion

and understanding for the sport of swimming. Swimmers will be placed into groups according

to ability and focus on performance enhancement through high quality education,

skill development and group activities. Swimmers aged 9-18 years old, with a minimum of a “B”

US Age Group Time Standard (www.usaswimming.org) will have the opportunity to compete against

each other on the final day of the camp in our Olympic standard swimming pool.

TENNISTake advantage of the first-rate experience being

offered to junior tennis players at the Thanyapura Tennis Performance Camps this summer. Led by PBI

professional Roger Cochrane and a soon to be announced International Coach, the camp offers a

balanced mix of on-court-training, fundamental stroke development, match play strategies,

developing shot selection, sports mind training and video analysis. The team of coaches is passionate

and dedicated to providing a positive and energetic performance environment for youth aged 9-18 years

old to take their game to the next level.

INTERNATIONAL COACHAt Thanyapura we take pride in offering

high quality coaching service to the players who attend the Sport Performance

Camps. We will announce a specialist international coach shortly to work alongside

Roger Cochrane and the Thanyapura Tennis Coaching Staff.

Over 16 years of experience in tennis coaching and is the Director of Tennis at Thanyapura. Nationally ranked junior and

tennis scholarship coach. His ability to find the best in everyone's tennis game resulted in being selected as the PBI 2006 Prof

essional of the Year.

CRAIG JOHNS

Director of Triathlon at Thanyapura, received the 1st

Triathlon New Zealand Level 3 coaching certification in 2012. a

silver medal at the World Triathlon Championships (age 20-24) and a gold medal at

the National Sprint Triathlon Championships.

TRIATHLONTake your triathlon performance to a new level
