Introduction

The purpose of this publication is to assist in the identification of the range of Quantium 300T models.

The basic information for the Quantium 300T and descriptions of the various available options are included.

This publication is part of a set of documents specifically produced for the Quantium 300T range. For further technical

information, please refer to the relevant associated publication.

Presentation of the Quantium 300T

Modular design

The modular basic design of the Quantium 300T dispenser interfaces with a comprehensive set of peripherals to offer

levels of flexibility unmatched anywhere in the industry. Future-proof solutions with full plug-in capability for

downstream product enhancements mean that we can guarantee our customers best-in-industry technology now and

going forward, not to mention the lowest possible ownership costs.

Best-in-industry components for unmatched ergonomics

Built using proven components, the Quantium 300T is an industry reference in terms of ergonomics and performance.

The EPZ pump and the MA 26 meter device are twinned with the WWC T1 calculator at the heart of the configuration,

making Quantium 300T the most reliable and best-performing dispenser in its category.

The Quantium 300T offers great communication capability with numerous POS systems and complies with the

specifications of most of the major oil and hyper/supermarket companies.

Specifications

Approvals

The Quantium 300T is in full conformity with European weights and measure, safety and environment regulations:

• NMI (the Netherlands) issued the OIML certification and the basic EMC verification, including the third-party test

results on emissions and immunity.

• The main safety certifications are: TÜV (Germany) and SIRA (Great Britain). The primary current regulation for

safety zoning is TÜV, but the design also meets requirements of the provisional CEN standard.

• Parts subject to potential explosion hazards are in accordance with the directive ATEX 94/9/CE.

Page 10: Spécifications Q300T

Description Models & Options

10

Standards and certificates

• This dispenser is constructed in conformity with the requirements of all the applicable European Directives

(Machinery 98/98/37/EC; EMC 89/336/EEC; ATEX 94/9/EC).

• The components used within the dispenser, including connection facilities, are selected in accordance with the

European Standard EN 50014 (Electrical apparatus for potentially explosive atmospheres), and the supplementary

Standards listed therein. Diesel dispensers do not create an explosive hazard, but due to the probability of these

being in close proximity to gasoline dispensers, the same construction rules are applicable.

• The dispenser is certified by SIRA as suitable for use in Potentially Explosive Atmospheres Directive 94/9/EC, and

marked to be in accordance with the European Dispenser Construction Standard EN 13617-1.

• This dispenser is also certified to OIML International Recommendations R117 and R118. Certificate Numbers

R117/1995-NL-01.04 & 08. The production and end test is controlled through the Quality Assurance systems

within the Tokheim Manufacturing Centres.

Communication interfaces

Quantium 300T electronics come with either IFSF or any proprietary protocol. For further details please see the WWC

T1 calculator technical manuals.

How to use this document

Model identification

On the following pages, a code is used to identify the model. This code is explained below.

The first number in the Tokheim code used in the matrices relates to the number of products. The second number

relates to the number of hoses. The “i” at the end means that a dispenser is “island-oriented” (nozzles aligned with

island) and not “lane-oriented” (nozzles pointing towards lane). For example:

• 1-2i: A one-product, two-hose, island-oriented dispenser,

• 2-4: A two-product, four-hose, lane-oriented dispenser.

The following identifications of "speed" are used to qualify the nominal flow rates at which products are delivered by

the dispensers:

• StdS means Standard Speed, a nominal flow rate of 40 l/min.,

• HS means High Speed, a nominal flow rate of 80 l/min.,

• VHS means Very High Speed, a nominal flow rate of 130 l/min.

All models are double-sided except for the Master (VHSM1-1) and Satellite (SAT) which are always single-sided,

side A. The B side is defined as the fuel inlet side of the dispenser, the A side is therefore the opposite one.

Models and Options

Models and Options are displayed in a matrix which presents standard models in a line and available options in a column.

A grey box indicates that the corresponding line option is not available on the corresponding column model. The

Quantium 300T matrix is presented as an appendix to the present document.

Most options described in the Options section are also available as retrofit kits.

Options

Tokheim ECVR-OL

• This is an exclusive Electronically Controlled Vapour Recovery system, in which a Dürr vapour-pump (one per side,

using one motor for both pumps together), electronically controlled proportional ASCO valves (one per side) and on/

off valves (one per hose) are the main parts of the system. The on/off valves will be delivered as an integrated part

of the ZVA nozzle.

• The Tokheim ECVR-OL system will be built in such a way so as to work for all hydraulic frame positions.

• This option comes standard with a return-pipe per dispenser, which means that vapour from all products is

returned to the same underground storage tank.

• This system is upgradable towards the Tokheim ECVR-SCS (Self-Calibrating System).

Tokheim ECVR-OL deduction for diesel hoses

• With a combined diesel–gasoline dispenser this option has to be selected.

Tokheim ECVR-SCS

• The Electronically Controlled Vapour Recovery-Self Calibrating system is a combination of the basic components

and architecture of the ECVR-OL system with Tokheim’s all-new, patented Vapour Flow Meter (VFM) and self-

calibration algorythms.

• The specially developed and maintenance-free Tokheim VFM interfaces directly with the calculator to monitor

correspondence between vapour flow and fuel flow for every fuel delivery.

• The calibration data stored in the calculator can be updated after any delivery if accuracy falls outside pre-defined

performance thresholds, enabling the system to compensate automatically for any vapour head loss variation.

Tokheim ECVR-SCS deduction for diesel hoses

• With a combined diesel – gasoline dispenser this option has to be selected.

GRVP

• This acronym stands for “Gas Rückführung Ventil mit integriertem Proportionalventil” (Vapor Recovery nozzle with

integrated Proportional valve): a mechanically controlled vapour recovery system, in which a Dürr vapour-pump

(one per side, using one motor for both pumps together), mechanically controlled proportional and on/off valves (one

Page 23: Spécifications Q300T

23

per hose) are the main parts of the system. The proportional and on/off valves are delivered as an integrated part

of the ZVA nozzle.

• This option comes standard with a return-pipe per dispenser, which means that vapour from all products is

returned to the same underground storage tank.

GRVP deduction for diesel hoses

• With a combined diesel – gasoline dispenser this option has to be selected otherwise costs for VR hoses will be

charged.

Mechanical totalisers

• The mechanical totalisers are mechanically driven by the volume meter / pulser assembly.

• They are easily readable in the hydraulic compartment by opening only one panel.

Mechanical totaliser readable from outside

• This option is applicable to all models, except LPG models.

• Located in hydraulic top cover for easy read out. Used in South Africa.

Electromechanical totaliser in calculator head

• These totalisers that are driven by the calculator electronics (and not mechanically driven by the pulser).

• They provide an easy read-out of the figures that can also be read out from the calculator by means of the remote

control.

• They are positioned in the calculator head and are visible through the dial plate.

Preset valves

• These valves differ from normal stop-valves in that they can control the speed of the fuel flow in more than one

ratio.

• They enable the “slower” filling up of the tank that is needed where of a preset option has been selected on the

dispenser, via the forecourt controller or a payment terminal.

• The preset valve will be available for every fuel grade type (for LPG it can only be driven remotely by POS), every

flow rate and every hydraulic frame position.

• Preset push-buttons are not included in this option (see below).
