More than that, by properly installing Cheat Engine, you’ll be able to run the Sparking! trainer by the file with .CETRAINER extension, which executes much faster than the included .exe since the exe basically unpacks a portable CE app to a temporary folder. It’ll also allow you to run other Cheat Engine tables and small size trainers which are generally much safer than other trainers floating around the net. Oh and most important thing! Sparking! absolutely requires PCSX2 in version 0.9.8 OR above, it will NOT work with some ancient builds that still float over the net. Always download your PCSX2 copy from the Official PCSX2 site ( http://pcsx2.net/download.html ) using different plugins is ok through(:P). Second “most important thing” – Sparking! will NOT work with Dolphin, don’t ask me about it, I created loads of cheats for this game myself, but I don’t have Wii nor Wii version of the game. Even if I would like to help I can’t. That’s all. Oh and also understand…, I’ll not really create any tutorial or whatever, for f… sake it’s just a trainer;p, this manual simply explains some of the options as I often name them strangely or simply cause it’s bloated with different features which I keep adding from time to time and can be hard to comprehend at first. SPARKING!

Trainer/editor

Lame manual

For version x3j

First of all I would like to recommend installing “Cheat Engine“ ( http://www.cheatengine.org/ ) to

anyone which ever like to mess with his games, even if you’re total newbie, you should be able to find

many easy stuff by just passing tutorial included in CE, it has also decent community behind that will

help you if you ever will need help with Cheat Engine and creating cheats. More than that, by properly

installing Cheat Engine, you’ll be able to run the Sparking! trainer by the file with .CETRAINER extension,

which executes much faster than the included .exe since the exe basically unpacks a portable CE app to

a temporary folder. It’ll also allow you to run other Cheat Engine tables and small size trainers which are

generally much safer than other trainers floating around the net.

Oh and most important thing! Sparking! absolutely requires PCSX2 in version 0.9.8 OR above, it will NOT

work with some ancient builds that still float over the net. Always download your PCSX2 copy from the

Official PCSX2 site ( http://pcsx2.net/download.html ) using different plugins is ok through(:P).

Second “most important thing” – Sparking! will NOT work with Dolphin, don’t ask me about it, I created

loads of cheats for this game myself, but I don’t have Wii nor Wii version of the game. Even if I would

like to help I can’t. That’s all.

Oh and also understand…,

I’ll not really create any tutorial or whatever, for f… sake it’s just a trainer;p, this manual simply explains

some of the options as I often name them strangely or simply cause it’s bloated with different features

which I keep adding from time to time and can be hard to comprehend at first. If you don’t understand

something, simply try using it;p.

Ok, let’s start

Page 2: Sparking! Manual

Main Trainer Window:

Let’s go by colors, RED are some options you’ll use lesser or not at all, the only useful things there are

potara editor and help aka shorter version of this manual, sometimes you might need to click “attach to

pcsx2” or do it manually by clicking “detection problems” if by some stupidity it fails.

GREEN are all “gameplay” available cheats, meaning they will directly affect gameplay or add some kind

of effect to it. They, like most of the cheats are divided for player 1 and player 2 since my trainer isn’t

just a simple “god mode” and “1 hit kill”, but instead allows you easily make your game either easier or

harder, simply speaking different in a way you could enjoy it more.

BLUE are codes related to dragon sim on the left, widescreen and a timer control in the middle and

some general unlocking cheats on the right. A small note: to actually control the timer, click on “Set

Timer” first to make it green.

YELLOW is THE thing;p, I created this trainer more or less with this in mind. It’ll need a more in-deepth

description, since it’s the only thing I keep on improving and trashing with loads of ways to customize.

Page 3: Sparking! Manual

Power Up profiler is centered over “Limit Break II” cheat(removed the first as it was obsolete) which

allows you to create 5 different cheat combinations which will activate when player HP hit’s level range

connected with it.

You rise your HP based your effort during the fight which uses an implemented stamina system ~ that

big green HP Pool thingie with selectable amount to the right. Basically the higher combo you make the

faster you gain hp, keeping blue energy for longer time will also help in that. Ultimately you rise it

fastest during energy collisions and by clashing with an opponent. It also speeds up with each level by

itself. Make note however that the faster you gain hp, the faster you drain your stamina(unless ofc you

set it on infinite).

By default it’s set to make you very weak on first level, then constantly rising your power with each

level ultimately making you very hard to kill in normal ways, hence if you run out of stamina your hp

might* start dropping by itself, there’s also a bonus for the opponent if you run out of stamina and he

gains enough health to pull it off which will multiply the power of any ultimate attack allowing to drop

even millions of hp at once, sometimes it can even 1 shot you since it’s very sensitive on timing, but

generally it should always leave some off, especially if your hp is really high.

And here we go about high HP, there’s an option there called “Multiplier” it basically enables HP

multiply from transformations, now those transformations actually have a reason to be there, but look

out on my default settings. While some transformations can be really strong that way, as long as you use

stamina they can also come at big cost. Generally speaking stamina/HP Pool usage allows for much more

strategic concept in the fight. None of the fights is surely lost doesn’t matter how overpowered the

enemy get’s, if you’re good you can always win.

If you don’t like default settings you can change them. Basically you select profile number from the drop

down list, select the gameplay cheats(green in previous pic) you want for this level and press “Save” and

after being done with it, press “Refresh” or restart the trainer whatever easier. Yes it’s so easy. If you

don’t like “Limit Break II” cheat at all, you can even store your favorite sets of gameplay cheats under

those 5 profiles and then easily restore them with “Load” button.

Page 4: Sparking! Manual

Like you probably saw, there are more options there. Well first of all the big blue sign actually changes

to your character name and shows current hp, which can be useful while testing your settings for the

“LBII” cheat or anything else, the list is pretty long and has entry for each character model, so if I missed

any drop me some info at PCSX2 forums, where I release the trainer, even in this version I added Trunks

(Sword) SSJ there which I accidently didn’t earlier @_@.

Now let’s look at transformation bonus, there are 4 sliders there, “Time”, “H”, ”E”, “B”. Time should be

obvious, it’s the amount of time the bonus is applied directly after transformation. H/E/B are Hit Points,

Energy and Blast, while Time starts at 0, other values have 0 in the middle and allow negative values as

well, hence you can “gain” a debuff after transformation and actually it does so by default. I was kind of

lazy on those sliders so to reset them to 0’s you have to click their label, ie. click “H” to reset it’s

corresponding slider to the center (0).

Oh and when we’re about clicking at the labels, clicking on HP Pool label actually refills it to max.

Let’s have a look now at other things we can “Customize” by pressing the button of such name.

Again with the colors:

Page 5: Sparking! Manual

RED keeps stamina decrease multipliers, you can set it for different kind of characters differently:

- Normal - includes all characters not belonging to other group, including perm Sayan transformations

like SSJ Gogeta,

- SSJ/SSJ2 – since the anime tells about those giving a strain on the body it drains stamina faster by

default,

- SSJ3 – same like above, just taken to extremes,

- Androids – they are genetically enhanced, hence lower value seems better. Yes this means Cell is Super

Duper Overpowered, just like in the anime.

With GREEN we have transformations HP multipliers, you can gain some crazy values with it anyway:

- Normal – those are all normal transformations, I mean every transformation that’s not listed below,

- Fusion – this is bonus for fusion which goes additionally to summing characters current hp,

- Fusion SSJ/SSJ3/SSJ4 – those are multiplying normal “Fusion” Value, if you for example get Goten and

Trunks and make fusion directly to SSJ3 Gotenks, you’ll get Gotenks SSJ3 = (Goten hp+Trunk hp) x Fusion

x Fusion SSJ3 at standard values this means (30k+30k)x4x4=960k hp. Quite a bit?:P But like I said

overpowering an opponent has a huge downside in stamina system, you’ll drain your HP Pool really fast

and if opponent will be good enough to stay alive until getting stronger while stil keeping some stamina,

you’ll more likely to loose.

BLUE sets on another reason why ending stamina is bad, basically if both players use Limit Break II cheat

this set’s an amount of hp needed for mentioned earlier overkill ultimate move. It works only against

the opponent that lost all his finite stamina already or had it infinite from the start. For example if you

have over 300k hp and your opponent runs out of stamina by reaching very high hp lvl, then your

ultimate attacks will deplete his hp even faster than he got so strong, well as long as they hit, it’s not so

easy with default settings as you can easily avoid any stupid “beam spam”, it needs some skills or a

change of settings at least;p.

Time for the YELLOW, this one basically gives you an ability to turn on or off hp gain from stamina and

hp drain from depleting stamina. I liked the idea quite a bit hence messed a bit of default settings, still

not tested much for “enjoyability” hence the default can change in the future, but anyway describing

those, they’re mostly based on kind of transformations:

- Non Transformable – this includes all chars which does not have any transformation, good idea to give

them beneficial setting since they lack other means of reaching high lvls,

- At Will, Base Form – this includes only first forms of all characters that can transform “up and down”,

meaning they can cancel their transformations whenever they want,

- At Will, Transformed – this one includes all characters from previous option on their ascended state,

Page 6: Sparking! Manual

- One Way Transformable – this includes all chars that can transform up, but cannot cancel their

transformations, it does NOT include their last transformation…

- One Way, Last Form - …since this one includes them, basically they’re stuck at this form to the rest of

the fight, then you can either reward them or the opposite make them suffer for being too greedy,

- Droids(Robots and Androids) – well the name says all, this include all of those android #, Cell and even

the cute Jr. one as well as all the robots, yes Arale included lol.

ORANGE is main stamina usage override, you can set it from 1/10 to 50x of default, basically one slider

to speed up/down both hp gain&drain caused by HP Pool, also affecting how fast it is depleted.

PINK changes damage applied when BLUE requirements are met, mouse over slider for exact formula.

Since that’s done I guess I’ll also describe also the Potara Editor:

It’s very simple yet powerful editor, start from the top:

You can increase or decrease potara limit for “All” or just the “Current” char with corresponding – and +

signs. Setting it over game max does cause graphical glitch, but does not break the game otherwise.

To actually add potaras first you can either get ingame to the character menu where you change potaras

and make the editor autodetect Character, Custom number and potara slot from the game or if you

prefer you can select it manually from the drop down lists. Then simply select a potara from one of the

four types which are also in drop down lists and click ADD next to that list. Once you set one favorite set

of yours to one char, you can also select the character and it’s custom number (or if you done that in-

game, simply set it on autodetect) and click on the button at the bottom, this will save you a lot of time

copy potara sets.:) If you customize sets for characters you can still create a base which repeats for all of

them and copy just that.

Page 7: Sparking! Manual

Also last, but not least, make note that using this editor you can easily place ANY potara in the 8th

slot,

that’s a total cheat and what’s better, it actually will save with your save game:P, yes save game doesn’t

mess up with this, you can easily create any red potara set with it and if you have means of doing so

even transfer your save on PS2 to play with them.

Ok one of the other fairy new things, Sparking! trainer wasn’t made to be used like normal pc games

trainers, it’s not about pressing keys and not being sure if it works or not;p, it’s all about selecting it on

clearly visible checkboxes and stuff alike and being happy with it sitting in the background, hence I was

never into creating any hotkeys for it… But I did;p. Basically there are only 6 hotkeys 2 of which totally

useless at games involving players. They’re:

- “1” – force transforms CPU in slot 1(does nothing for player and character must be able to

transform normally already),

- “2” – forces fusion for CPU in slot 1 – same requirement as above,

- “3” - force transforms CPU in slot 2, -||-,

- “4” – forces fusion for CPU in slot 2, -||-,

- “Left Shift” – multiplies the number of cycle with analog at Beam collisions and clashes for cpu

or player 1, - this can be abused as a way to easily win those occasions, but you have other cheat

for that(reminder: the one called “Looser Mode” ~ applied to enemy;p),

- “RightShift” – same for cpu or player 2.

If you want to change the keys look inside “Sparking.hot” file(edit it with notepad or whatever) and

change the keys from the above to any chosen one, the list was somewhere in the readme, but you can

better just google for “virtual key codes” and you’ll find it on many sites easily finding which code you

need for your key. If you want to disable those hotkeys, just type in anything which is not a virtual key

code in it’s place;p. You can even badmouth me in this file for not implementing those hotkeys in the

first place if they use same keys as your gamepad layout lols;p.

Oh and if you wonder why would anyone want such hotkeys, well having control over AI in player vs cpu

duel might be distracting;p, but it’s nice if you want to record cpu vs cpu fight and play a director for a

bit;p. Unfortunately there are no means of exactly choosing stuff, transformations and fusions will be

somewhat random. All this does is sending a priority command to the AI command-line, couldn’t find

any other way on my short try in that. You might keep pressing it for a second or two, once cycle of

commands takes second or probably less through, so if it’s possible he will transform pretty fast. If a

character can cancel transformation as well as ascent further, if you try to force him while he’s not

having enough blast points for it he’ll cancel current transformation.

I intentionally forgot to mention earlier the fact that you can turn on cheats in story mode by changing

the colored checkbox above gameplay cheats;p. Basically story mode is easy so that’s not a problem for

anyone, but also it’s scripted and using some stupid cheats like god mode can totally break it.

Page 8: Sparking! Manual

Some of you which actually read this probably saw there’s also one other color on two of the colored

screenshots included which I didn’t describe, it’s actually a hidden feature, which most likely stays

hidden cause nobody’s gonna read till here. Anyway if you’re not totally clueless you should easily find

how to use it, but it’s only useful for testing LBII.

Hope this “manual” clears whatever my option naming scheme randomness made unclear. If you read it

all and think some parts are still stupidly confusing, since obviously I have totally different point of view

as I created all of that, bug me around how you see it. But if you’re clueless about everything and

always, don’t expect me to create a step by step tutorials for each stupid thing, I’m not doing it, I

understand people playing this game in majority are fairy young, but this does totally not mean that

young people must be idiots, if anything with the age involved it was always the opposite, if your case is

different seriously stop abusing drugs and alcohol=_=, that’s all.

Have fun

You can post potential problems with Sparking! here if my pm box fills up again, just don’t spam it

generally if you registering just for that, read the forum rules and take them to your heart. >.>

-Release Clip for my hacked GSdx for BT series

Make note it can be slightly heavier than default, since it’s restoring post processing effects;p, don’t

bother if you have weak gpu. Also probably it looks a bit better than in the movie, I just use this clip from

early versions and am lazy to record new one;p.

Oh and don’t spam me on youtube;p, I pretty much only look there when I’m releasing an updated

version, kind of abandoned that account;p, don’t ask me to update either, the game doesn’t gain

anything from any GSdx changes from the time external shaders were added, and the version released

does have that and some more stuff as well probably. GSdx generally isn’t really developed much on, if

ever it only get’s hacks for some games and at most get’s slower.
