the 2019 Cromed By Custom Australian Championship Show, to be

held from the 23rd Sept - 28th Sept 2019, at K Ranch in Mt Hunter,

Sydney.

The SCRHA will take great pride in providing our members and

Following months of preparation, in September this year, Reining’s

best horse and rider combinations will gather at the K Ranch Arena

to compete in the hope of being crowned The SCRHA Champion

for 2019.

Our Event is held over 5 days of competition, with a full slate of NRHA

classes including Futurity, Maturity, Entry Level Ride & Slide and

Derby events. Our aim is to grow the sport of Reining and in

conjunction with your sponsorship support, grow your business

opportunities as well.

WHAT IS REINING?

Reining is a judged event designed to show the athletic ability of a

ranch type horse within the confines of a show arena. In NRHA

competition, contestants are required to run one of thirteen

approved patterns, included in the NRHA Handbook.

Each pattern includes small slow and large fast circles, flying lead

changes, roll backs over the hocks, 360 degree spins done in place,

and exciting sliding stops that are the hallmark of the reining horse.

Southern Cross Reining

The Southern Cross Reining Horse Association is a non-profit

association dedicated to promoting and encouraging the

development of and public interest in the sport of reining. The focus

is on developing and maintaining suitable standards of

performance and judging and in providing a fun filled, family-

oriented atmosphere.

This will be the SCRHA’s first show piece event being held at the K

Ranch Arena Mt Hunter NSW. With many experienced Reiners and

likeminded professionals being involved in bringing this together. It

will be AWESOME.

This show would see approx. 400 runs over a 4 day period with

riders coming from all around Australia. This same venue in 2018

saw NSWRHA stage the largest show in the history of Australian

reining!

This show will be judged by two international NHRA Judges from the

USA and Italy.

The event will also be livestreamed with advertising available on

Media Worldwide.

The central feature of K Ranch is the 2 acre main structure which

has a capacity of 2000 spectators and includes the huge 80m

x 40m indoor arena, grandstand seating, the Saloon Bar, The

Western Ranch boutique, multiple offices, announcer’s room,

Private VIP suite and the soon to be complete conference room.

With 150 permanent stable surrounded by landscaped gardens, an

outdoor arena 100m x 40m, wash bays and 45 powered sites all
